"Falling for Mr. Write" was absolutely amazing. This was the third in the series and, in my opinion, the best. Maybe because, from the first book, I wanted more. I could not put this book down. These books are so realistic. They show how even people with strong faith have trouble trusting God and how they figure it out. They show how having faith and trying to live that faith leads to real happiness. There is romance, intrigue and fun. Read this whole series. You will love these books and this author. I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Fantastic series!

I absolutely loved this series, and while Book 2 is still my favorite, this one came in a close second. Similar themes run through the series, but each with their own unique story. I loved the characters and storylines, and if you love sweet romance with Christian values, you'll love seeing these couples work through challenges to find true love. I was given copies of these books in exchange for an honest review, and I am pleased to report I loved them all.

Her best book yet!

Wow! A great book. An insecure widow with twin daughters and a heart defect with Mr. Drop Dead Gorgeous as her nanny. The ins and outs of their mutual attraction mixed in with his problems with a conniving self-centered ex-wife and how these two Christ loving people resolve their problems by finally trusting God is one of the most delightful romances I've read. I'm so blessed to have been given a free copy for an honest review.

Great start to this trilogy!

The star of this book was definitely Jude... dark, mysterious, powerful, attractive... a really great character. In fact, all of the male characters in this book were very intriguing... in particular the demon Dante. All of the scenes between him and Gen were edgy and had me glued to the pages.
On Gen's twentieth birthday she is awakened and quickly realizes that she is now being hunted by demons to claim her as a vessel. Jude is a demon hunter and her protector... he hopes to teach her to protect herself from the demons as she is thought to be a major player in a prophecy. Dante, a Demon Prince, will stop at nothing to claim her so Jude definitely has his hands full.
I loved all of the descriptive art and the inclusion of Latin in the story... it made it more visual and mysterious. Gen's mom was a painter and before she died her painting shifted to images that left some big question marks as to why she may have died. I hope we get into that more in the next two installments of this trilogy.
My only pet peeve... and it's a small one really... was that I would have preferred a more mature heroine. Her inability to "listen" in the beginning was just slightly nerve wracking... But, Jude did agree with me on that and offered Gen some words of wisdom!

"Your vessel instincts are kicking in to protect you since your brain has apparently taken a leave of absence."

**giggle** Well said Jude... well said... that's where I officially fell in love with that guy!

It didn't take long for Gen's light bulb to go off and start taking her new life seriously... that's what happens when you're being stalked by Demon Princes I guess. And, I'm looking forward to seeing her character continue to evolve.
This really was a great story... engaging, creative and edgy and I do plan on following the rest of the trilogy! I definitely need more of Jude...

Best new PNR!

Absolutely amazing. First novel in promising new paranormal series. IZZZAMN!!! *Flails* Hot demon master with dangerous baggage and an alpha boss streak a mile wide, snarky young heroine, just coming into her own womanhood and brave enough to take on the underworld all while getting her man- ummmm duh! Sign me up! Forged in Fire is the start of the new Vessel trilogy and if book 1 is any indication of what is to come, Cross has certainly made a believer out of this paranormal-romancy-urban fictiony reader girl!

Right off the bat we meet Genevieve, on her way to party hard for her 20th birthday. Her good girlfriend Mindy has roped her into another double date with the undesirable Slippery Steve her gnat of a would be suitor who is as annoyingly bothersome as Jude is alluring and fascinating. Ahh Jude Delacroix- great demon name for a formidable demon master. After saving her life, the two embark on a journey that is as dangerous as it is darkly sensuous.

This is absolutely my favorite urban/ paranormal read in a while! Delicious! Such a fun, scary world. Demons that turn your stomach, dark Princes who vie for the innocent Genevieve’s soul. Too damn bad they have to go through Jude to get it! World building was done expertly and without the boring passages of info dumping that often plague introductory novels. I am absolutely on the edge waiting for the next installment. Cross’s writing style is so addictive. The humor and snark alone are enough to make Forged in Fire a must read. I swear my face hurts from all the hardcore grinning I did at Genevieve’s impertinence.

God, but I loved Gen! She was not a complete ball buster but she held her own against Jude, remained true to herself. Gen is all hot woman, never the ice queen and when it was time to go boneless at his touch, my girl did not disappoint! Her awakening and paranormal emergence was not the eye ball rolling “insta-adjustment” where the heroine is all “Oh no, demons exist, fantastic” and kicking immortal ass by page 9. I love that her growth and awakening as a vessel was so authentic and believable. It is unfortunate that the cover is not fantastic. I hope the next cover embodies the series in a far more appropriate way because this cover image is so far from Genevieve its laughable.

I could gush about how exciting this book was, how smart the writing is, how the characters are spot on and how the sensuality is so brutal that the sexual tension at times damn near made me blow my top. Though it ended a little abruptly, it felt complete, no cliff hanger thank goodness, and the story arc is engaging.

To my extreme pleasure, we are only beginning to pop the lid on Jude’s dark past and reason behind his making and I look forward to the consequences to several decisions that Jude and Genevieve made in an effort to confirm an ancient prophecy- ramifications that simply put are going to rock my freaking world! Hurry! Somebody, anybody! You, you, you, you and you, read this so we can fangirl out and discuss!

great start to trilogy

I’ve mixed feelings about this trilogy....I liked that Genevieve wasn’t a simpering miss, nor one of the popular kick arse heroines so beloved of fantasy recently. They have their place, and work for some stories but aren’t needed in All of them! Lately it seems they’re everywhere, and I’m just tired of reading them. So Genevieve being proficient and able to look after herself when it comes to humans, but not to demons works fine for me.
I love that her professor is so “ don’t be stupid, demons don’t exist”, and can feel her frustration – who wouldn’t want to put him right, but doing so would have her end up with the men in white coats Then there’s Jude, Dominus Daemonum, Master of Demons, who’s drop dead gorgeous and saves her from the first demon attack. He’s also incredibly bossy and overbearing and at first they have a few head to head arguments about that. Genevieve is still have trouble accepting what he says is true – well, most people would. Some guy attacks you, another saves you and yanks out some grizzled looking creature from his body, and then tells you you’re some kind of supernatural vessel. Yes – of course you’d think it was true, and not blame it on one too many tequilas....Still, the dangers stack up quickly, and Genevieve soon has to accept he’s right, and she’s is getting to like his attentions too, that helps....Kat, another demon hunter, completes the trio that make up the main part of the story, with smaller roles given to demon prince Dante, who wants to have Genevieve for himself and the head of the hunters George, who drops in to check on things.
So, some great characters, a decent story line ( and yet another prophecy – something else that seems to dominate this genre at times ) and yet it didn’t have that Can’t put it down, must read just one more chapter, and another, and another... feel to it. Its was a good read, just not a great one. I’m not sure why, there doesn’t seem anything I can pin point, except that the romance went all too smoothly, and I like a bit of drama and upset there, some strong jealousy or something. I thought Kat might provide that, or maybe the woman in the picture but no. The dangers too seemed over very quickly, not long and drawn out and I didn’t really feel Genevieve was in any serious risk. I thought at the beginning this was going to be a five star read but it’s not, for me anyway...Its a great start though, and maybe once the story gets going more it’ll make my five star rating.
What was great was No cliff-hanger ending...this part of the story ties up neatly – as readers of my reviews know I Hate Cliff-hangers, hate them, drive me mad, so a huge thanks to Juliette for making this work without that. The story is good enough not to need a lure to tempt me into reading the next part, and I’ll be looking forward to it.
Stars: Four – its a solid beginning and well worth reading if you love fantasy with a strong romantic element.

This is such an incredible sweet story!!!! Everything that author, Christa Wick, writes is so much fun to read, but in this case it just blew me away! The story was done from the male's POV and it was different to read but in a really good way! It was powerful, sweet, and but of course very hot!!!! This is a new favorite!

I really liked this story. It has drama, humor, and love. Wake,the hero of the story, is asked to protect Lacy Addams Long. There is something special about these two people. Each are scarred. Wake because of what he witness while being in Special Forces. Lacy is scarred because she is blind and has endured emotional abuse by her mother for years. I started out saying to myself that I'm going to read only a couple of chapters but ended up finishing the entire book. It was a good read to me and I wanted to see what happen to the hero and heroine of the story. I am a prude. So to me, the sex scenes are explicit but completely appropriate.

I enjoyed this story. It was a bit weird because its based on characters in Black Gold by Christa Wick which I haven't read and I will! Otherwise, a bit lost. HEHE. Loved it and Wake really was sweet and a total gentleman. Other guys would totally take advantage of the situation and he didnt. He hurt her pretty bad at first by rejecting her which didn't know what he was thinking there. He was in love with her already and she confesses she wants him but then he rejects her? I get kinda why because of his past as a soldier and doesnt wanna drag her down. Shes got her own things going on. Austin who is Lacey's cousin slaps him upside the head and tries talking sense into him. Which Wake goes to her BUT doesn't go all the way since she is a virgin and he wanted to wait until this whole surgery thing was over. Boy did he please her though! LOL. Yum! Me next! Great ending. Sweet story.

Its a hot and fun read,

Well, I started with book two – Ace’s story, and loved it, then saw that book one was available. I’m actually glad I read them that way round because this one didn’t have anywhere near the impact Ace had for me, and if I’d read this first I may not have continued...
Mia, poor little rich girl...her parents have given her everything material but nothing of themselves, no personal attention, no real love, no emotional support so in a way she’s ripe for someone to come along who does that for her. Ethan is attracted to her, and she thinks his attention is more than it is, he doesn’t do personal, uses sex as a coping device for his own problems, so she needs to accept that though it’s sex like she’s never had and feels emotional, it’s purely physical...or is it? Is Ethan just kidding himself that Mia is like any other of his pets? If that’s so why can’t he just stick to his usual rules, why let her in areas Pets don’t go?
Though I loved what there was of the emotional side of this, and really felt for both of them with their traumatic pasts I wasn’t convinced that their relationship was love. Somehow although Ace was very real feeling to me this one wasn’t. Maybe because the main part of the story covers such a short timespan, its really only their first meeting, the club visit and a bit past that, and I couldn’t see love developing from the few interactions they had – Lust yes, but love? No. I did like that part where Mia was minding the office for a couple of days, and did exactly what Ethan said not to – that made me laugh. I could just imagine the scene on his return, and it made sense the reasoning she put behind her actions – there was an element of revenge, but mainly she wanted him kept bust. Loved what we saw of Dirty and Dirtier too. The drama part was extended in just the way I love, but because I couldn’t feel them as a couple, as having a real future, genuinely in love then the impact wasn’t great for me. I felt I knew Mia reasonably well but needed to know more of Ethan, to know the man behind the facade, but I felt I just got the shallow surface view when I’m sure there’s more to him from the way his friends support and respect him.
Its a hot and fun read, but a bit light on the emotion I need to really believe in a romance, and that's why its a three from me – a good read, but just not a great one. I’d be happy to read more though from the series, as the writing style is excellent and i so loved Ace book.

HOLY HOTNESS! All I can say is WOW! The story of Ethan and Amelia (Mia) had my Kindle smoking. It is a very erotic story. Mia is at a crossroads in her life, and Ethan comes along at just the right time. She is ready for a change…ready to try something different – and he is most certainly willing to provide.

Jenna Elliot writes with a masterful balance of cutting wit and realistic dialogue. Her characters are a testament to the strength of the human spirit and the power that love has to heal even the deepest wounds. Ethan and Mia’s intense connection and fiercely passionate romance keeps the pages turning at a fast pace. Deliciously romantic and often heartbreaking, this is a book that held my interest to the end. I am looking forward to future books from this author.

This is the first book that I read by Jenna Elliot but I will be on the lookout for more books to read by her. Elliot did a great job with this book because she created a world that is so easy to get sucked into. From the first page I was completely sucked into the story. Great job Jenna Elliot

Ethan is a man with a dark painful past that he hides behind his need for complete control of his life, his business, and the bedroom.

Mia is tired of everyone trying to run her life and giving her orders. But there is something about Ethan and his demands that set her on fire.

Together Ethan and Mia find something in the bedroom that neither of them can deny. The real question is will it be enough?

Another great book in the series!

Being raised by a religious grandmother has caused Lindsey to grow up afraid of being intimate with anyone, let alone herself. It seems as though escaping from the church that forced marriage and years of therapy didn't even prepare Lindsey for what would happen in her life next. With her best friend Kara being in a ménage relationship, Lindsey doesn't really understand how someone could be happy with that, but she can see the happiness in Kara.
Alejandro wasn't expecting anything at all when he came to help his family on their farm. He certainly wasn't expecting to find his mate, Lindsey. Everything seems to be going according to plan that is until Ryan shows up and claims that Lindsey is his mate as well. With Alejandro and Ryan teaming up to show Lindsey that it is alright to be in a relationship with them both, the past comes back to haunt Lindsey, and someone else has to pay the price.
In the quest for love, who will win? Will the past come back and ruin Lindsey's chances at being truly happy, or will the love that Alejandro and Ryan have for her be enough to pull her through the bad times?

I really looked forward to reading this book after reading the first in the series, Kara's Wolves. I think that Becca did an amazing job developing Lindsey's character, as well as Ryan's and Alejandro's. I also liked the inner turmoil that Lindsey had gone through during this book. Being raised one way, yet realizing that she wanted something completely different, I am glad that she didn't just give right in. It made the story more believable with her having her fears and concerns.
I also enjoyed how there was still some little updates given on Kara and her men. Becca didn't just leave them behind because she started another story, but she didn't allow them to take over the story as well.
I would still recommend this series to my friends!
I would give this book 4.5 stars!

I had loved the first book in this series, Kara's Wolves. Kara was interesting with her gymnastic abilities and the two guys in her life were sweet and the romance built-up nicely. Lindsey's Wolves felt too much like bedroom scenes stitched together. I don't think the menage made sense since the two guys were total strangers to each other. This book felt really forced and a tired, sad imitation of the first one which was wonderful. I understand that the author plans to write another shifter romance for the next roommate. I'll definitely download the sample for that, but I really hope the main character is more interesting and the male lead(s) have a more believable relationship with each othr.

Lindsey, has had some sexual encounters but her past keeps coming back and ruining what could be with people. At the store she literally runs into Alejandro.

Alejandro just ran into his mate. In a grocery store of all places. He knows Lindsey is to be his. As a werewolf, he knows her by sent and will do anything to make her his. On there 1st date the connection is electric. He knows he must take it is slow with his human beauty. Great series

How I stumbled upon Brooke Page and Conklin's Trilogy is beyond me at this point but I am so glad that I did. I really loved her writing style and that she was telling a story that was different from anything I had been reading. In a book world that is full of billionaires and virgin's we get a woman fighting to get back on track and a sexy architect. The journey that Becca and Tyler embark upon is full of twists, turns and moments that left me thinking 'what just happened?'

The trilogy follows the story of Becca and Tyler. Tyler is Becca's boss at her new job after she returns to her home of Grand Rapids from living it up in Florida. They're both attracted to one another but Becca is very insecure. She battled with being overweight and bullied for it for most of her life. By her mother no less. That woman is something else that I'm not even going to get started on. Tyler wants her with an intensity that he can't deny but he isn't willing to put a relationship with her for the world to know about. Becca is alright with that until she isn't. She sees the softer side of Ty that he doesn't show everyone else and she knows she wants more. Little by little she breaks out of her shell and starts demanding the things she wants and needs, respect at the top of that list.

Tyler is enamored with Becca's shy self confidence and the way she starts to face her fears head on. The only problem is, Tyler has secrets of his own that he isn't willing to share. Mainly because he doesn't have answers to all the questions they will cause and he doesn't want to put her into danger. Because danger is lurking in more than one corner. I really loved the way the intensity built throughout the entire series with a sweet love shining through all the ups and downs.

There is a lot going on in the final book, that being said, everything tied together very nicely in the end. The trials and tribulations that Tyler and Becca suffer through in this book only solidifies their relationship. Becca's willingness to not only fight for herself but for Tyler showed just how far she had come. No more was she the wallflower that would let everyone walk all over her. I thought Ty was letting his guard down but he was broody and closed off as ever. As more secrets from the past are revealed, Tyler is left questioning all that he has known for most of his life. After a very shocking moment that had my jaw on the floor, he retreats even further into himself. It takes a good portion of the book to sort out that mess and just when I thought Tyler and Becca would sail off into their happily ever after...BAM!!! Another unexpected twist in the plot. Holy smokes I wasn't expecting that from this story at all. But it did make sense in the grand scheme of things (sorry no spoilers from me, just know that you've been warned to hang onto your hair).

Overall, this series gave me everything I wanted and then some. Tyler and Becca took me on quite the journey from the start of their relationship right through to the end of book three. Their connection, passion and understanding of each other is the romance that most can only dream, or read, about. It just goes to show how loving yourself and having the love of the right person makes you into the best version of yourself. If you like your books full of drama, angst, steam and some suspense then this is the series for you- I promise you won't be disappointed.

She just gets better and better
this is book two in the Conklin's Triolgy Series and cannot be read as a stand alone.
Get on over to book one and read that one first!!!

This is the first book that I have read from this Author.
I gave this book 5 stars.

This is Becca and Tyler's story.

Becca is a beautiful young lady, who has basically been put down her whole life from her family to her friends. She thinks she is fat, and ugly and not worthy of being with anyone. Her mom is always telling her how she needs to eat less, and how she will never be a size 2 but she needs to be better. Now Becca is only a size 8 to start with and once she decides to cut out all potatoes and junk food and basically anything that is not a vegetable or meat she goes down to a size 4, but she is still feeling like she is ugly and is way more comfortable in a six. Now you may say really? A size 8? I would kill to be a size 8, but society has made it so that we are not comfortable in our own skin, this was a big issue for the writer to write about, so many times we get caught up in what we think others should think, and we are never happy with ourselves.

Becca has a boyfriend named Connor who she has been dating for quite awhile, that is until she finds him in her bed with her best friend Ashlynn. Ashlynn always wants everything that Becca has, and she didn't stop at the boyfriend either. She continues through out the book trying to trump Becca every chance she gets. Becca is a very passive, timid woman, and to a point that is good, but I think she is this way because everyone is always saying something about her weight, Ashlynn is always pointing it out right along with her mom, you shouldn't eat that, or it's ok that your not a size 2.

Becca broke my heart, she so wants to just be loved, for who she is, that she doesn't even love herself. She is constantly trying to make herself better, She needs to learn to love herself, or she is never going to ever be happy.

She graduates from college and moves in with her other bestfriend Jamie and she decides she is just going to have fun and sleeps around with a whole bunch of guys they meet at bars. She finally lands a job back home and moves back. She has a beautiful condo that her parents set up for her, and she is not happy with the fact that she is home and under their thumb once again, she wants to be able to do this on her own. But again Becca is timid and doesn't like to cause waves so she stays quiet.

At her new job she meets Tyler and he is the bosses son, he runs the company with his dad and two brothers, now Tyler has his own issues and those issues cause him to want to keep her a secret, and not because of the way she thinks, she thinks it's because she is not perfect and that she is no way good enough for him, but they have to learn to deal with these things together, and both of them are very hard to get to open up, so while she thinks she is not good enough, and that she is fat and frumpy. Tyler is not like that, he loves the way she looks, and doesn't have issues with any of that.

The book continues to deal with Tyler and Becca's relationship and their issues, but is this going to tear them apart? Someone with all the issues that Becca has can she put up with being a secret and if she does for how long?

This book really spoke to me, maybe because I related to it so well, I found Becca to be a beautiful woman with some major issues, I do believe that Tyler can help her face some of her fears, and that he will help bring out that feistyness that she is missing. AND it is there. She just has to be willing to let it out.

Tyler when he finally told his story my heart broke too, these are two beautiful, damaged souls looking for someone to just love them. And I do believe they have found that in each other.

I loved going on this journey with them, and their story is not over, but their was not a major cliff hanger, which I loved also, it left me wanting more, but I was also satisfied.

Thank you Brooke for a beautiful story, about learning to love yourself, about learning that you might not always be perfect but in someone's eyes they will see you as perfect! And isn't that what we are all looking for ?

I can't wait to read the next book!!

Really bad!!

I just finished book #2 and I still don't like these books. I hate giving 2 stars, but I'm being nice. I truly don't know how it got 5 stars. This book is written like a teen wrote it. You know someone a week and you already thinking you love them and want to buy a house with them. Then talking about the great sex, yet it's very vanilla only on a bed and no oral sex given by either the guy or girl!! How is that great sex. Then mad because he slept with someone else days after sleeping with you, but he never said you were a couple. Just really bad writing....I'm sorry I paid $2.99 for each book so not worth it!!!

Great Interesting Characters

I loved this boxed set. Each and everyone can be read alone and stand on its own. All of these have great character development and have characters the reader cares about. I really enjoyed each and every one. If you love good romance books that keep your interest until the end, these are the ones for you. Finding Southern Comfort, Her Favorite Mistake, Her Favorite Honeymoon, Her Favorite Doc are all very interesting titles to grab the readers attention and keep it until the end.

Warm fuzzies!!

Just finished reading this boxed set and have warm fuzzies all over. I had already read the prequel (found it as a free book on Amazon) and really enjoyed it so I bought the box set. Each book can be read as a stand alone but I really liked reading them all together to find out more about each of the friends. The strong women in the prequel, book 1 & book 3 captured my interest and were very relatable. Book 2 didn't hold my interest as much. Almost seemed like a different author penned it. The story seemed to lose focus so I skimmed thru much of it. The other stories were fun and quirky and very enjoyable to read. My husband even commented that I must be enjoying the book because I kept smiling thru it. I would give the prequel and books 1&3 a five star rating with book 2 a possible 3. Highly recommend This author!!

4 great stories connected by best friends. They stand alone but miss out on the other stories

1. Southern Comfort. She thought it was late for a kids party. But here she was dressed as catwoman. To her horror she realized it was a bachelor party. She left early the host shoved bills into her hand. When she got to her car she called her boss and quit. The next day she answered an ad for a nanny at the same address. Would he remember her. What a great story.
2. Her Favorite Mistake. Jillian and Vanessa are appearing on Eye of the Tiger trying to get backing for their family bakery.
One of the regular judges was ill and being replaced by Alex. The man she had a one night stand with in Las Vegas, she didn't know his name until now. How they finally get together is very good reading.
3. Her Favorite Honeymoon. A couple weeks before her wedding Amy finds her fiance in the shower with another teacher. Every thing had to be canceled. But the honeymoon a trip to Italy was nonrefundable. Her friends encouraged her to go anyway. Her friends suggested trying a web site Travel Chums to find someone to travel with. Mallory was getting over his divorce. His cousin suggested using the web site to help him get back into the dating scene again. Mallory's father's will stipulated that he must be married by the time he is 35 or the control of his company goes to his cousin. Again a very good story it gets you involved and keeps you until the end.
4. Her Favorite Hot Doc. McKenna is a midwife the head of the OB at the hospital was Logan also known as hot doc. He didn't seem to approve of midwives but she won him over. McKenna stubbornly refused to see him as a boyfriend. She didn't want to be hurt again so it would be simpler to be buddies or friends. With patience Logan was able to win her over. Again you will be pulled into this story.
