Just as Action Packed as Volume #1 - Does End on A Major Cliffie.

After finishing Book #1 and doing some research on Annie Winters, I discovered that she is a fan of the major cliffhangers and that after reading Book #1 I prepared myself for what the ending of Volume #2 would be like and I am glad that I had pre-warned myself as it did end in another cliffhanger. Catching up from Volume #1 Jax and Mia are on the run and they have just escaped from the compound and met up with Jax's friends Sam and Collette. Collette has been instructed to drop Mia back at her home and for her to forget about what she has learned over the few days but of course Mia is falling for Jax and wants him, no matter what happens. Mia first heads home and takes a look around, was her aunt really part of this secret organisation as like Mia there is no record of her Aunt. That's when Mia notices the rug has moved and underneath it is a hatch , she opens the hatch and what does she find - guns and special agent materials. It seems to that she has a visitor by the name of Klaus - the friend Jax has been told is dead , but is Klaus really a goodie or has he turned to the dark side ? Will Mia be able to reach Jax in time as she steals a car and heads to find Collette and the others ? Is Mia ready to get her life turned upside down and be on the run with a fugitive ? Could Mia's parents have been part of the Vigilante group , when it's revealed how they died ?
Volume #2 of the Vigilante's Lover was another awesome read and if you are a fan of Spy stories with a erotic twist or two and some funky gadgets , then check out Volumes #1 and #2 of The Vigilante's Lover by Annie Winters and Tony West and readers, remember Volume #2 ends in just as big of a cliffie as book #1.

Just a few of my favorite quotes from this volume. I enjoyed the fast pace. Mia's curiosity, determination, and her confidence are really starting to show through. Jax pushes out on his own looking for answers and finds out that his life is now on the line. When Mia finds herself the victim of another home invasion she quickly turns the tables on her captor and calls out to Jax through Armond "Tell Jax I learned to tie an alpine coil in Tennessee," What follows is a hot and steamy night in a motel room where Jax is trying to be gentle, but Mia quickly shows him that she doesn't need gentle. They go together back to Mia's home where traps are set and it's anyone's guess whether or not Jax and Mia are smart enough to disable them all. *Was given and ARC of this volume in exchange for an honest review.*

So Fresh and Amazing... Dying for Book Three

The Vigilante's Lover II is the sequel to this new, fresh addictive series by Annie Winters and Tony West. At the end of the first part, Jax De Luca finally realizes that Mia Morrow isn't a Vigilante but just a civilian. He knows he can't keep her with him no matter how much he wants her. He needs to return her to the safety of her home, but Mia is determined to stay in Jax's life. She wants to learn all there is about his world so she can take part in it. She has nothing left for her in Tennessee but now she has Jax. She doesn't want to let him go.

Jax is still a fugitive and now there is an order out there wanting him dead. Now more than ever, he has the urge to protect Mia by keeping her far from him. But how can he protect a person who doesn't want to stay away from danger. This book continues to be action packed and exciting. If you thought you like the first one, this one is even better.

The Vigilante's Lover II continues the story of Jax and Mia in this thrilling sequel. The story just gets better and better. The dialogue and the writing is great. Once you start, you just can't put it down. Annie Winters and Tony West are just spectacular. They are geniuses. This series has me captivated and craving more. The first book left out with a cliffhanger and this was ALSO did! So beware... I NEED the next book NOW! Its just that great. Trust me if you aren't ready this series yet, you better get started ASAP.

A Week in New York (The Empire State Trilogy #1)

I can't believe how much I liked this. I mean I knew I'd like it. But, man did I love both Anna and Ethan. Anna had a bad break-up and went to New York for a vacation with her best friend. She needed to get away and start over. And, wow what a way to start over!

While out with her friend Anna meets Ethan. He oozes sex appeal! She figures there's nothing wrong with having a one-night stand. They head back to his hotel room. Anna comes up with all these rules. Which is perfect for Ethan!! Ethan too has rules. He does not date. He doesn't do sleep overs & he makes no promises. And, he never gives his phone number out. But, one night with Anna and he's breaking all his own rules and then some!!

Now, that Ethan has had a piece of Anna he wants another. Ethan tracked Anna down and it literally gets hotter & hotter. Ethan has always had his rules for his own reasons. Yet, he's willing to throw them away for him. Anna seems to keep reminding him that this thing between them is only for a week. Every time she says it the words seem they cut deeper and deeper into Ethan. I am rooting for Ethan to smack some sense into Anna. To make her realize that the thing between them is real. I can see it.

They literally spend the whole week together. And, all of Ethan's rules are 110% broken times 10. Which was awesome to see. Because, he is the alpha-male. But, Anna is awesome. Who's been hurt. I wish she'd realize Ethan is it. But, she doesn't. Now, their week is over and my kindle almost went up against the wall. The 2nd novella can't come out fast enough.

From the minute I finished A Week in New York I could not wait to get my hands on the second part of Anna & Ethan story. Anna went to New York with her friend after she broke up with her boyfriend. She met Ethan at a bar. What started as a one night stand with no strings attached and no complications.Turned into a week of complications. Ethan who doesn't do relationships and has a strict policy of no sleep overs, no exchanging phone numbers. He wanted to keep Anna as close as possible. They decided to enjoy the week & that was it. When the week was over Ethan wanted to change the rules. But, Anna. Deleted phone numbers out of their phones and left to go home to London.

A few months later both Anna and Ethan are still miserable. Everyday that passes the more miserable they get. Neither of them doing much except throwing themselves into work. Not going out and dating. And, thinking about each other all the time.

Ethan winds up having to go to London for 3 months to head up the merger with another law firm. He';s looking forward to spending time with his sister. While on the plane Anna has invaded his mind. He vows after he gets settled in he will get an hold of her best friends boyfriend and find her.

Anna has to go to an important meeting at work. There's talk about a merger or a takeover. She's not sure. Anna is prepared for anything. Except for when the meeting starts and she's looking right at Ethan. The guy who's invaded her thoughts for months. Anna is instantly pissed!!

Ethan is Ethan and gets the issues resolved with Anna. They make-up, make-up for lost time very quickly. These two sure are hot together!! Wow. Ethan lets it be known right off the bat when they're not at work they will be together. He does something he's never done before. A relationship. Ethan has no idea how it works. But, with Anna it's right.

I absolutely love these 2 together!! They fit so perfectly. Like 2 puzzle pieces made for each other. They have such a good routine. Between working and spending time with Ethan sister & her family and hanging with Anna's friends. Everything is perfect. Except their 3 months are coming to an end. Ethan tries a thousand times to talk it over with Anna. Anna being Anna refuses to talk about it. Both Ethan and Anna are both hoping and praying for the same thing. They want the other to say either "stay with me" ,"be mine", "don't leave my side" & "let's do everything to make this work".

They drove me crazy!! Even though they knew what they wanted. Louise did an excellent job keeping you wondering and guessing who was going to make the 1st move to making their short term thing into a permanent thing. Louise is an evil genius. I can not wait until January when I find out what happens next. Louise is most definitely an author that when she puts out a new book out I won't have to read the synopsis. It will def go on my TBR list. She is that good!!

This book picks up exactly where the last one ends. Ethan is on the airplane headed back to New York. Anna is standing in the airport hoping he'd comeback.

In true Ethan & Anna fashion now that they are living on opposite parts of the world they have set rules. Oh, Ethan and Anna and their rules. There rules are:

1- They will talk to each other daily, regardless of how short the conversation
2- They will see each other every other month.
3- There would be no bulls***. They would communicate freely to let each other know what was working and what wasn’t.

They def talked to each other daily. That was not a problem at all. Seeing each other wasn't a problem either. The 3rd rule with no complete 100% communication. Now, that wasn't to easy.

Anna wanted Ethan to ask her move to New York so bad. Everyday they talked and he didn't ask made her rethink his commitment to her. Oh Anna. You stupid girl!! Ethan who went from never having a girlfriend/relationship to being head over heals in love with Anna. He was thinking of moving to London and opening a new practice. But, they never spoke about that. Instead, their conversations got hot, heavy, steamy and oh yea hot!! Phew did these 2 step up their hottness.

When Anna does get to New York the hottness continues. And, Ethan. Man oh man. For a guy who's never done a relationship before. He lets Anna know she's his queen. The stuff he sets up for them to do. Man oh man!!

After, a romantic night out Ethan is all confused. Ethan knows Anna is his forever. Anna knows Ethan is her forever. But, their POV of marriage isn't exactly the same. Now, instead of Ethan listening to rule #3. He says nothing at all. Lets Anna go home the next day with her thinking he was acting weird because she was leaving. When Anna does find out she must get back to New York. Back to Ethan. But, will she get there before it to late??

I can't tell you how many times I'd be laughing out loud. Then, tearing up because of the things Ethan either did or said. Total pantie wetter that Ethan is!! I could not put this book down and I didn't want to.

This novella series is a must read!! I was very happy with how it ended. I wish we could get more of their story. What happens next. I think Louise should give me that. Hahaha. I don't know anybody else who could of done Ethan & Anna story like Louise did. I will miss them. But, I'm holding out that Louise will give me more **wink wink hint hint**

Sweet, Simple, Sexy Romance

Let me preface by saying this the first time I've read anything by this author. I'm glad I came across this book, as it was a good place to start.

The story is told from a dual P.O.V. The conversational style of writing was very entertaining. I laughed often as I did not mind being inside of the character's heads. The internal dialogue was just as amusing as the two character's sexy banter with one another.

The plot is simple -
Two people meet at a night club. Our Hero is a native New Yorker. Our Heroine is from the UK on vacation for one week in The Big Apple. She's going through a dry spell after a breaker-up and he's not interested in the complications of a committed relationship. He's handsome and successful and she's a beautiful professional working her way up the corporate ladder in London Town.
Finding one another attractive - They hook up for a one-night-stand. -VERY PLAUSABLE-

This is no instantly in love scenario. The author allows these two people to develop a relationship. The romance drifts seamlessly from the pages as they do eventually Fall-In-Love.

The conflict -
The distance of 3000 miles. They live on two different continents.
The author didn't use angst and forced stupidity to weave this story into the colorful tapestry that it is (I hate those). There is no underdeveloped over the top irrational story line. The reader will easily enjoy the simplicity. It was refreshing, as there biggest issue was distance.
Read for yourself and find out if these two can work through their self-inflicted, NO BULLSH!! rules, and overcome distance and time zones.

I can not say how much I loved this series. These are my first Louise Bay books but they will NOT be my last. I loved Ethan and Anna! Anna is strong and Ethan is sexy! I loved the instant connection between these two and loved the journey they had to take.
They both think theirs is one week of fun in New York while Anna is on vacation. What an amazing week it was! They are funny and enjoy each other's company. Trying to keep their time together light and fun but secretly thinking maybe there could be more. There is time apart and hot steamy times together. They are both willing to make sacrifices for each other and that is what is most enduring about this love story.
I found these stories refreshing and found myself routing for this amazing couple. I loved how much Ethan grew as he fell more in love with Anna. Pick this series up...you will NOT be disappointed.

great prequel!

This is the prequel to Falling for my Best Friend's Brother. I recommend reading One Night Stand in order to have the back history of the characters. This is a great story that shows the history behind Alice and Aiden and we get to understand what happened to them years before. Alice's plan to get Aiden to fall for her starts to form. Recommend to read Falling For My Best Friend's Brother after you read this.

Buy it, Read it, Love it!

Loved it! Jamie just keeps cranking out winners! She is on my short list of must reads. No matter what she writes, I know I am going to enjoy it! This is a bit of a continuation of of Liv and Xander's story to, so you really want to read their book first, to fully appreciate this one. This Prequel is the first three chapters of the next book and quickly became a page turner for me.

There's allot happening in this novella.....jealousy, lust, a secret, the reveal of the secret and a kinky hunch about our hero!

Although I would have to say that Alice is a little on the immature side, I have a feeling if Xander's hunch is correct about Aiden, then we are in for a treat! Can't wait to see how Alice adjusts to that piece of news or rather how they keep it from Liv! Can't wait to read the full novel!! Bring it on!

I can't wait for the next book............

The was a prequel and short novella to an upcoming book.... Falling For My Best Friend's Brother. It was a quick read and gives you just enough to get you pulled into the story of Alice and Aiden. You are told the story from the present to begin with knowing there is a secret from the past that hasn't been revealed yet. What will happen though once that secret comes out? Will the line have been crossed, could 'too far' have been reached??? Just when we think we might not know exactly what happened we get to have a glimpse of the past.... and it's juicy!!!! It leaves us wanting so much more! I can't wait to see what is in store for us in Falling For My Best Friend's Brother.

The story starts with two best friends Liv and Alice, who are roommates. We get a little bit of their life and interactions and are introduced to Liv's boyfriend Xander. I was a little confused with the dynamic between Alice and Xander because they seemed to have a love/hate relationship. I couldn't tell if they truly disliked each other or not. I was intrigued with the conclusion that Xander had at the end of the novella regarding Aiden. How exciting it would be if he was correct. I think Alice would be in for a treat if that was the case.

I look forward to diving further into what may or may not come of Alice and Aiden as we embark on their journey in Falling for My Best Friend's Brother.

Honest Review

5 amazing, mentally disturbed Stars

Let me start by saying for those of you who focus solely on the fluffy romance books, with a happy ever after, this book is more than likely not for you. However, for those who are fans of dark reads (and let me tell you I thought the first book was the darkest book I'd ever read) then prepare to be taken on one hell of a journey, because this second installment is hands down the darkest book I have ever had the pleasure of reading.

I can say with absolute certainty there is not one character in this book, other than Ivy (for now), who is not warped in someway. If you were to read about these characters in real life, if this story was to appear in the news, you would be hoping and praying that they were caught, convicted and thrown in a maximum security mental facility, never to be heard of again.

However, as is often the case in the fictional world, you may find yourself actually liking one or two characters and despite me hating Roman with a vengeance in book one, I found him to be almost loveable in this book, although I really do use that term loosely.

As a fan of pretty much all genres of fiction, It is not often that I am shocked and haunted by scenes, even ones of torture, so let me put it into context. Certain scenes in this book literally had me scared to read any more. If I could have dived behind the sofa, because I was to afraid to read on, I would have. I winced and squirmed through so many scenes in this book.

Some may wonder why anyone would want to read something like that and in all honesty, I can't tell you, but Kimber S Dawn, as lovely as you most likely are, you have one twisted imagination and made me feel things and have empathy with characters I shouldn't have and that is why I loved this book. Yes, I enjoy a hearts and flowers kind of romance, but sometimes you just need a book so dark, you wonder whether you will be able to come out the other side and quite frankly I don't think I did.

A new level of dark and twisted

Roman's Redemption held a lot of promise in the title. I had very mixed feelings from the first book, and took a lot of time to process the outcome. While waiting for this follow up to release, I enjoyed the teasers and was excited to find out more about Mace and her role in the story. Despite my background in dark and twisted books, I was not prepared for Mace's story.

This storyline does have all the components of a dark erotic novel. Being in the mind of several dark minds caused me to put this book down a lot! It was something I couldn't read in a few days. I felt the story was a bit choppy, but it could because I was reading it in sections at a time.

This book does end in a slight cliffhanger, but I am told by the author that the next book will be focused on a different couple. I hope we will be able to wrap up Roman & Heather's story in that book.

Will I read it? Probably. I'm curious enough to need the outcome of their story.

I gave this book 4 out of 5 stars because it does follow the criteria of it's genre. As a blogger, I try not to let so many personal opinions get in the way when I'm on the fence about content. I do love this author and will continue to read her stories.

Dark and twisted and...

...not in an erotica way. This had some sick and disturbing scenes in it so beware. It was definitely more hardcore than book 1 and that's saying something. I enjoyed it but I did feel that, at times, the story got away from the author. There was a lot going on... lots of side stories. It didn't take away from my enjoyment but gave the book kind of a crazy train feel. Don't know, maybe that was the point.

After writing Rock Star Kisses, I immediately began Forever Kisses because I felt the series was incomplete without Toby, the twin brother of Preston from Rock Star Kisses, having his romance also told. I wanted Toby to meet a woman who challenges his storybook life, and thus, Dovie Juniper enters his world. As in several of the books in this series, there is a secondary romance. In book one, Dream Kisses, I introduced a supporting character who appears occasionally in the storylines, but all that is known of her is that she's carried a torch for her high school sweetheart for years. I decided it was time for Sally, the waitress at Boot Bustin' Barn and now over the age of fifty, to finally realize her HEA.

He's the locally renowned ladies' man who's developed a sudden desire to settle down. She's a physically handicapped blog writer just passing through who's never known romance. He's determined to win her over if he can find a way to make her stop avoiding him.

Veterinarian Toby Tanner had always had a way with the ladies. He'd never even contemplated marriage until his twin brother and a couple of his friends found love. Witnessing all that contented happiness had Toby realizing his life was missing something important, so he decided it was high time he started looking for a special someone of his own. And, out of the blue, Toby's ah-ha moment came the night he literally bumped into Dovie Juniper, a woman who immediately recognized him as a lady killer and tried to brush him off in no time flat.

Physically handicapped blogger Dovie Juniper's life had not been easy and the loss of her mother to cancer had left her all alone in the world. Yet, Dovie wasn't one to let a congenital birth defect and personal losses keep her down, so exploring and writing about the cowboy way of life was as good a way to keep potential troubles at bay as any other. But it sure seemed like trouble found her when a handsome cowboy veterinarian named Toby Tanner stumbled into her in Paxtonville, Colorado. Toby's intent on getting to know her, and yes, she finds him attractive, but life has taught Dovie Juniper that men just aren't interested in a woman with a prosthetic arm and leg. Dovie knows she'd best be on her way out of town because a man like Toby Tanner will only use her and break her well-guarded heart.

With her penchant for tales that feature opposites and other seemingly mismatched couples, Verna Clay has once again written a feel good romance that's sure to leave her fans sated, satisfied, and happy to revisit favorite characters from her Romance on the Ranch series.

In FOREVER KISSES, Dovie Juniper's character was born with two complete and two partial limbs due to genetic Meromelia, but Dovie doesn't have a chip on her shoulder and she doesn't let her handicap impede her, except when it comes to love. Attempting to pair Dovie with Toby, a well-liked man who's always been a favorite of the ladies, makes for an interesting read and reveals that Toby's more than a reliable veterinarian with a good personality and a handsome face.

And as Ms. Clay entertains us with matchmaking manipulations and the rutted road to love, there's the chance to catch up with other series couples and to enjoy another romance within the romance, so settle in for another well-crafted gem from Verna Clay and enjoy!

Yet another great book in the series!

I love how Toby looked past Dovie's physical appearance while acknowledging her limitations. He wasn't going to treat her differently even though that was what she was used to. He and his whole family fell for her! The characters were well written and relatable. Dovie was confident in her own skin and didn't hide her obvious handicaps. Toby was irresistibly charming, even when he wasn't totally honest about who he was. This one is just one more big hit in the series!

Nice story of woman who finds love in the old west.

This was adventure, a little mystery, romance.
Samantha, “Sam”, is an undercover detective that finds herself thrown back in time. When
she awakes she is back in history to the old West and everyone seems to look like the present day
people she knows, only they aren’t.
Sam is head strong. She is used to taking care of herself. She is not accustomed to being taken care of or not being able to go out on their own. Dev is the sheriff that finds Sam and sparks fly. It was a cute read. There is definite chemistry between Dev and Sam. There are Comanche, crazy people trying to kill people, as well as other normal incidents. It was a full story with prim and proper relations until after marriage. The spankings are light with hand and paddle. The sexual scenes between the married couples are described, but not overly graphic.
All the loose ends were tied up, the story went into a lot more story than I expected. it kept me reading and had a happy ending for the main characters.

Fun time-travel story with a better 2nd half than 1st.

Paige Mallory takes us on a time-travel adventure with Samantha (Sam) - a 1990's cop, and Devlin - an 1870's sheriff. There was a lot of action, some humorous moments, and some interesting characters. I found that I enjoyed the last half more than the first because both Devlin's and Sam's actions and emotions were all over the place in the beginning. Sam didn't seem to have much impulse control, which lead to many problems in the story. It was hard to believe that this tough as nails cop would allow anyone to spank her, let alone 2 men who she only knew for 2 days. It was also difficult to believe this experienced cop would do some of the things she did. The second half was better as more time was spent getting to know the characters and build the relationship, as well as the story. I also liked how Devlin began to respect Sam for her abilities (finally!) in the second half. We were also introduced to Mary, Trudy, and Mason - some great secondary characters. I'd love to read a spin-off about the widow Mary. Great length for this genre and an overall entertaining read.

Great western romance!

What a great book! I loved the time travel theme and I always love a good western! I could not help but laugh out loud at Sam as she struggles to live in her current time and Dev sure had his hands full with her. A great romance blooms and I loved the ending!!

... of the Windham Werewolves series and it keeps getting better and better

This is part two of the Windham Werewolves series and it keeps getting better and better! Shawntelle Madison is fantastic at engaging and capturing you in her world of shifters and hunters. Kaden is trying hard to bring his new love mate Cynthia to be well received by his family. No one is keen on this new adventure that Kaden is on. Cyn keeps her head held high during dinner. Her only ally is the nephew of Kaden. Bastian is Kaden’s brother and is not well liked. Bastian has his own agenda and it does not include Kaden at Alpha. After a Hunter is murdered and a newly young shifter is missing can Cyn and Kaden find love? Will Cyn ever be trusted among the clan? With this murdered hunter come consequences. I cannot wait to read the next part!

It's getting deep

Cynthia has a major/ choice to make anesthesia weeks go by her loyalty to Kaden becomes more intense along with their mutual attraction. But she still worries about her brother and his safety. To stay with Almaden as his mate or leave and let the cancer ravage her again while she searches for her brother.
It's getting deep when the pack comes back and has made a mistake that could cost them all their lives.

The second book is better than the first.

Kaiden's brother Bastian is a snake in the grass not a wolf in the forest. I like the way Cynthia is becoming accustomed to pack life. She still has a long way to go before being accepted by them. It was nice for her to find a surprising alliance. I didn't care for the blatant disrespect Kaiden's siblings showed him. I can't wait to finish this review so I can continue on to the next book.
