Wow and Wow! Darlene Kuncytes continues her Supernatural Desire Series with the third book of this series, Marcus' Mortal Embrace and she has totally rocked my world - again! Kuncytes' is a gifted storyteller with an,incredible imagination; her talent and unique style have never shone more brightly than they do in this third release of her series. Each book of the series features a different couple finding love but there is also an underlying interconnected storyline with familiar recurring characters running throughout this romantic supernatural saga. Personally, I believe each book can be read as standalone; however, in order to enrich your reading experience, I highly recommend reading the A Vampire's Saving Embrace and A Wolf's Savage Embrace first. I have loved every single book in this series and with each I was frozen in my seat, eyes glued to my screen, devouring every word. I found this story to be exciting, compelling, powerful, thrilling, heartwarming, sensitive, sensual, romantic and arousing. The narrative is beautifully written in the third person with sassy, well executed dialogue that flowed effortlessly. The characters are imaginative, captivating, fascinating, endearing and sexy as sin. Oh my! They literally explode from the page and capture your heart. These characters have become my friends and I look forward to reading much more about them in the future.

Handsome Marcus LaGrange has been a vampire for over two hundred years and has always worried more about the happiness of his family rather than his own. He was heavily burdened by the guilt he felt over the death of his fiancé by the hands of his own Mother. He would never love again. Hmm...I wonder? So when Marcus laid eyes on the lovely Elizabeth Chase with her gorgeous blue eyes and luscious curves, he was more than a little shocked at his reaction to the beautiful mortal. He felt something for the first time in two hundred years. No, it wasn't possible - she's human. It could never happen - would never happen! She could never care for a monster like him! Or could she? Afterall, they are in New Orleans and anything is possible in NOLA! Sparks fly! Attraction builds! Desires ignite! Passion explodes! Oh my! So darn dreamy! Sigh.......Sexy vampires-check! Witches, werewolves, fae and demons-check! Action, suspense and romance-check! Oh yeah! We also get to visit with Desmond and Abby, Luke and Kat and of course, Harper. Kuncytes delivers quite a double bundle surprise for her readers in this book! Quite literally! Great balls of fire! I can hardly wait for Harper's Heavenly Embrace! Fantastic entertainment and an awesome read!

When reviewing and rating a book, I always ask myself several questions. First, what did I love about this book? Well, I actually love everything. I not only like the premise for each book, but I very much love the world and characters created by Kuncytes for the entire series. It's imaginative, exceptionally well planned and crafted as well as exciting and satisfying. Second, I then ask myself, what didn't I like about this story? Actually, not a darn thing. There were a few little booboos that were missed during editing but nothing major and certainly nothing that tore my attention away from the story. Third, I always ask, would I recommend this book? You bet and I am! Fourth, will I read this author again? Absolutely, just as soon as she releases her next book! And finally and most importantly I ask, was I entertained? Oh lawd, yes! I found myself completely immersed in this story and the lives of the characters. I laughed with them, cried for them and cheered for them, totally absorbed in their fate and hoping they would find their happy ending - which, of course, they do with the perfect combination of suspense and angst! I loved it! So yes, this book gets five delightfully entertaining stars from me!

Marcus and Liz....Love them!!!!

OMG...This book is fantastic!! It made me cry and not because it was a sad sappy book, no but because of Marcus and Elizabeth!

I'm not going to tell you the book plot because you can read the blurb. I just want anyone who reads this to know that this book will choke you up. Marcus carries around so much guilt and loves and protects those he cares about. Feeling his hurt and his happiness will just send you on an emotional roller coaster. So much to say about Marcus that I don't know what to say...**sigh** He is just amazing!!! Liz is one the strongest women you will meet and scared to live life due to the horrors in her past. Marcus sees something in Liz and he in turns makes her want to be happy. Liz's story will have you wanting to hug her and cheer her on in this next phase of her life.

Darlene has developed these characters and their storyline so well that you are drawn in and a part of their lives before you even know it. I have been waiting for Marcus' story because I fell in love with The Supernatural Desires Series with book 1. It was so good to see Des, Abby, Luke, Kat and Harper again. I loved the heartfelt ending and can't wait to for the next book!!

Marcus has lived a life of sadness, regret, and guilt. He blames himself for his past. Liz has lived a sad life full of unhappiness and hurt. They couldn’t be more perfect for each other. There are hurdles, turns, and twists in the road that each must get over, but can they do it together? Can they be each other’s support team when they need it the most?
This book holds a much more serious tone. There is less joking around and more seriousness and a bit more darkness. This book was equally as good as the others just in a different manner. I’m thankful that the abuse that is discussed in this book was very minimal and was touched upon very tactfully. It’s is heartbreaking to read about anyone suffering at the hands of an abuser, emotionally or physically. I appreciated that the author took Liz’s abuse history and used it to better Liz and help other people leave an abusive situation.
The emotions that were felt in this book were deep and strong. They were in your face and you never questioned them. The struggle Marcus dealt with felt real while reading the story. It was raw. This story was heavy from the beginning to nearly the end, but lightens up quite a bit by the end.
There were a few twists and turns in this book that were nearly jaw dropping and weren’t anything I ever guessed would have happened. Don’t you love those? This author does a great job keeping you guessing and surprising you at every turn.
I’d say go get yourself a copy of this book without a second guess.

Missing a little something

The story line and characters were enjoyable but because of the cliffhanger ending, it felt really unfinished. I was also a little thrown about the way the two main characters reacted to situations.
Decent read. Wasn't a waste of time and obviously it's not a waste of money. Overall I'm intrigued to find out what happens next.

Love this book, can hardly wait for the next one.

The more I tried to construct the review for A Shot of Sin in my head, the more I desired the next book. It soon became a feeling of being “homesick” because I wanted back with Shay, Leo, T.J and Brute. They created a dysfunctional yet beautiful family that I missed the more I thought of them. I loved how the author drew me in with the first chapter with the attitudes of the characters. They were each individually developed, each as different as day is to night, truly giving an example of the term “melting pot” in the club. This one didn’t end in a dramatic cliff hanger but certainly left you wanting to spend more time in uncovering the story of these four beautiful characters.
Leo, Brute and T.J. all struggled with finding a woman who would not only accept them for their desires but also join them in their kink. Being successful in the restaurant and bar they owned they kept the illegal sex club down in the basement as secret at possible. T.J was struggling with his marriage. With divorce being rumored in his future, he was also the peacemaker in the threesome of business. He knew what true love was, but he also knew the heart break when that true love didn’t fully accept you and who you are. Leo had given up on finding a woman that would not only accept him for his kink, but would keep his valued secrets quite. He knew that to find a woman he risked the business he and his two best friends had worked so hard to build. Feeling trapped in the battle between his loyalty to his friends, his need to be loved and his fear of being hurt, he goes through life flirting with Shay and believing nothing more can happen.

Shay was the one woman who saw all three men for who they really were. She knew Brute had a heart and cared deeply for a few select people. She kept his secret close in order to show him she deserved his friendship and respect in the work place. Shay also could see the pain T.J. tried to hide. While he didn’t always want to talk about it she gave him the space he needed while showing him he had a friend who cared. Leo was a very murky issue with Shay. She was strongly attracted to him, she found him hot, sexy and very desirable, but he was her boss and the ethics she held dear was too important for her to ignore. If they worked out, they would have to hide their relationship at work, if they didn’t last forever she would have to find another job. She loved what she did as a bartender, she was the best they had so she decided to flirt with him, play hard to get and see where that would take them. With her sassy attitude and remarks when she felt herself weakening to his charms she drove him crazy and to the point of madness many times.

Decisions had to be made after she accepted the part time job of bartending down in the basement. With the truth that she was going to be introduced to the illegal sex club becoming a fact, will Leo be able to explain his need for this club. Will Shay be able to take in this new information and embrace her own longing to experience it with him? Shay is going to have to stop over thinking things and trust her heart, but is Leo ready to take on the responsibility of that job, to protect, teach and convince her that he is her safe place to fall as she learns to let go of the expectations and restrictions society places on those who need the kink.

Tucked away in the city of hidden secrets, the bar is short staffed and needs covering. Up steps Shay. Discussing the situation between the three owners, it was decided that she was the right person for the job... Leo was very reluctant to let this sassy gal work in there. Why? His secret is to be revealed!

Leo and Shay share an intimate moment. She’s has taken a liking to him and wants to pursue it; whilst Leo is afraid to take it that step further. His fear being that she would not be able to cope with his sexual appetite. Yet can she even attempt to understand his gusto for his dark, deep tastes? As Shay steps into the club she is shocked and uncomfortable to discover what really goes on in the Vault. She was so not in her comfort zone; however, she prepares herself to just carry on and do the job she was there for. Shay realises she is not so turned off by what she sees happening in the club as she first thought she would be. Opening herself up to new feelings and desires she never knew she had was like a kind of self-discovery and personal journey.

This book is a learning curve for both protagonists, and kept me guessing as to what was going to happen next in their relationship. Will they or won't they? I will let you read the book to discover this for yourself. I have only recently discovered the author, Eden Summers. I would just like to say a big thank you as I've enjoyed all your books immensely. The grammar is faultless, the storyline kept me reading from start to finish. And I didn’t have a problem awarding you five well-deserved shiny stars for a brilliant read.

This is tall, sexy, brooding club owner Leo Petrova and club bar tender Shay Porter’s storyline-a second chance at love story for two people who have danced around one another for months.

Shay is a sassy and feisty woman who has been attracted to her boss for months but an almost-quickie, weeks before, in the storage closet left Shay angry and hurt when Leo Petrova walked away without a good bye or an explanation. For months, Shay has watched from the sidelines as Leo worked his magic at the club but it is his disappearing acts into the underground bar that has Shay concerned and worried. When an opportunity presents itself, Shay is asked to work at The Vault but what Shay never expected was to find herself working the bar in an illegal sex club for high end clientele where the man that she has loved from afar is front and center in all of the activities.

The relationship between Shay and Leo is intense, dramatic and hands off. The sex scenes are provocative, emotional, seductive and arousing. Nothing is off limits between consenting adults. The Vault is not a BDSM club but a sex club for willing adults who are looking for something different in their lives.

The supporting and secondary characters include Leo’s friends and partners-TJ and Brute. Like Leo, TJ and Brute have a past marred by a broken heart and loss due to the lifestyle they have chosen. These three friends nurture and support one another’s decisions, participate in the imaginative and fascinating lifestyle, and feel the same emotional pain and heartbreaking anguish when rejection eats away at a lonely heart.

The world building takes the reader behind the door at The Vault. We are witness to mutually consenting acts of sex-for pleasure, for control, for comforting needs but at all times safe and secure in the privacy of The Vault.

Eden Summers weaves a seductive spell of sensuality. There are moments of intimate arousal and romantic passion; the intense need between two people is off set by the knowledge that Shay may not be enough for the man that she loves but in the end Shay and Leo will get their happily ever after. Here’s hoping TJ and Brute will find the same kind of love in the arms of a woman who will accept everything they have to offer…and more.

fun read in a wonderful new series

My first read by Amy Andrews but, boy, was I impressed. The Hero, Hot Aussie Heroes Book 2 is a delightful, fun read in a wonderful new series. Edwina and Justin are thrown together on a car road rally after several years of no longer working together. Love the idea of the celebrity road rally with the media tagging alone.

I was hooked from the beginning but especially when It was made known that these two had been in a show together so it sort of a reunion for them. They were attracted to each other back then, but since Edwina was married, it was not pursued. I really like that Edwina and Justin show integrity in with or without the cameras watching. Now that both are free, I totally wanted them to get together. As their relationship sizzles while traveling through the country side of Australia, it becomes a marvelous read.

I’m looking forward to reading past and future books from this author.

Quick, hot, fun and easy read, perfect for a weekend entertainment.
The couple, Edwina and Justin are charismatic, attractive, and likable. The chemistry between them is something fierce. And the author sets the fireworks off in a talented way. Four years of denying attraction sets off, and there's no going back from that. The story gets more depth from the sexy part, when the tabloids get a picture of Ed and Justin together, and jealous ex throw Edwina's intellectually impaired sister to the media in a wrong light. Completely romantic ending to the story, as expected, made me sigh and smile.. There would have been material for a full length novel here, but this part of the story made a lovely, yet steamy, novella, part of the new Aussie series from Tule Publishing.

The Hero is sizzling summer reading! Justin Wilde and Edwina Calloway have loved each other for four long years but the fact that Edwina was married when they met and later his move to Los Angeles to further his career means their relationship has never developed until now. A charity car rally sees Justin and Edwina thrown together in a car for five days as they trek across rural Victoria and NSW and along the way they find out just how right they are for each other. This book is light and easy to read. There is a fair bit of sex and at times that overtakes the plot but on the whole it offers the reader a bit of fun, a glimpse at parts of rural Victoria and NSW that international readers may not know about, and a sweet love story.

You wont want to put it down.... another fantastic story you will never forget!

Not even sure how to review this... Let me start with OMG WOW... You will love and hate the author... Only because she takes you on a ride.
This is the 2nd story in the Sealed Series and focuses on Trevor Rossi... we learn that he isn't just a man whore... well not anymore...maybe? AFter he graduates college his father gives him a business, which at first you think his father must not really like him. It is a nearly defunct Strip Club, that is falling apart. Most of the staff are on drugs (including his cousin who ran the place into the ground)... So he has to make something of it... and he does what a Rossi does. He turns Teased into more than anyone thought it could be. But while building this business he also remaking himself without realizing it and all thanks to Avery's persistence.... IF I GO FURTHER I WOULD BE SPOILING THE STORY.
I am finding it impossible to review this without spoiling anything, so let me focus on the author and her amazing talent and ability to engross you with this story.
S.J. Sawyer has a talent that a lot of authors miss out on, not only do the characters tell you their story but you also feel like you have become part of it. They become more than just words on a page, the characters become your friends... she also makes you feel EVERYTHING. At the end of the 1st book "Sealed" I was crying (which rarely happens to me). Teased is no different.
You find yourself laughing at the banter between the characters, swooning over Trevor and rooting for him too. The entire Rossi family is something special and you know that they are genuine, YOU WILL WANT TO MEET THEM....ALL.
You will also feel love, like knock your socks off passion and love... and worry, heart ache, hope... I will also warn you that you WILL lose sleep because you can not but this book down.
I can picture the author ringing her hands and laughing like a evil genius, because she makes your feel so many emotion and the story flows seamlessly without you even realizing how truly vested you have become to each and every character. I can't wait to start the next book "Secured", but first I need to dry my eyes and regroup... because again I was left holding tissues, wiping my eyes and shaking my head thinking "WOW what a ride"

My Review:

S.J. Sawyer is going to be the death of me. I started her Sealed series and cannot seem to stop. I am totally a mess from reading Teased all day and most of the night, and am current in a somewhat fragile state due to the heartbreaking ending. Ms. Sawyer being a new and young writer, I was not expecting this level of skill, emotion, and dexterity in her writing. I am pleasantly stunned and realized I was so engrossed in her book, I have essentially lost a total day. Her plot and character development was crafty, yet seemed effortless during perusal. I was highly entertained and reveled in Drew and Trevor’s story, but the ending has devastated me. As such, I am feeling a bit of trepidation in starting the next one, yet holding out hope Ms. Sawyer will take pity on the jackass somewhere down the line.

If you read Sealed and Kreed won you over like he did Me! Let Trevor completely move you with his story!

S.J. Sawyer had me with Kreed Jones in the first book in this series "Sealed." The character's were amazing and if possible she exceeded all my expectation's with "Teased." See I loved Trevor Rossi from what I knew of him from Sealed. I didn't expect the love I would have for this character in "Teased." She has wrote wonderful books (I am an addict and completely addicted to the characters I know and the new one's I meet along the way). S.J. Sawyer has wrote phenomenal book's my only problem is I don't know if I am patient enough to wait for more!
The feelings you feel throughout this story are completely a 70 mile an hour winds hurricane. You have all the feelings! You completely fall in love, you experience heartbreak, such a connection between friends, the blossoming love between two people. It's a complete hurricane because there are so many twist and turns. (completely worth it, having a complete book hangover and craving at the same time)

I would recommend reading the books in order with Sealed first, then Teased.

This book is told with bits and piece's still of the character's who hooked you with Kreed Jones and Avery Bishop
But introduces you to Drew King and brings you up close and personal with the sexy playboy Trevor Rossi this is their story, and told in their alternating POV

Ok onto the book and meeting the character's. Since Trevor Rossi is the first person I Met in Sealed, so he will be the first one I will introduce you to.

Trevor Rossi is the tall sexy Italian, He has the panty melting smile, oozes sex appeal, has brown eyes, the disheveled messy dark hair, and of course is no holds barred (a man after my own heart), has a dirty mouth! (Yes ladies with his dirty talk), and has tattoos. He is your all american bad boy, playboy casanova! (Definitely a complete sex on a stick with legs, and he owns it. Alpha male.)
Trevor has a huge family he has two sister's (Tiffany and Tegan), a very loving Mother Fiore and his father Dominic Rossi. He has two uncles Tony and Marco Rossi (Marco's wife is named Helen). Trevor is from a loving family with more family member's, cousins, niece's and nephew's. They are all a close loving family! (It's completely endearing to feel the love this family shares.) Trevor still has a ongoing friendship that developed with Avery Bishop. Throughout this story Trevor finds another friend he considers one of his best with Cross Hudson. He isn't the relationship type and never been shy portrayed himself any different. He is independent used to walking alone and getting what he wants when needed. Trevor is a Rossi he aquired a family business that it is his job to make flourish at graduation. A Rossi rises to the challenge (always).

Then you have Drew King, she is spunky, she is so unique, she has those big sky blue eyes you can't help but be mesmerized by, she has brunette hair, fair skin, whose really thin and beautiful! She shares a mutual friend in Avery Bishop.
Drew is a photographer, she is amazing at what she does, she is a person who live's her own life and is ok with that. Her mother passed away when she was younger and she is very independent. Always up for the challenge even if that challenge is Trevor Rossi. So different but not scared of the being alone rather liked the no dependence on any one else, knows how to stand on your own two feet sound like someone else? (Yes!!!)

Let me take you through the story. Love all the characters I've read about and could talk about them forever!

Well Avery Bishop the best friend of both Drew King and Trevor Rossi and she talks both of them into a blind date. (Right my thoughts). Drew was way easier to talk into it then Poor Trevor. He had his ways and wasn't quiet about the way he felt about a relationship or a blind date. But he was 85% agreeable to Avery. So he agree's. the connection between Drew and Trevor on the date is mind blowing. It is undeniable! (hott) They see it as lust but it is so much more!!! As time progresses they figure out that the one agreeable date that Avery set them up on, while being cupid is more! With Avery trying to settle down Trevor's typical ways and Drew being the good girl they find a connection and then know that they owe Avery so much more then originally thought. They progress to more and time passes like there was no time at all. The feelings become realized and they are undeniable for both Playboy Trevor Rossi and the lion tamer Drew King. The problem is that Trevor see's Drew as the good girl who is way to good for him. (To good for Trevor, this so melts my heart in so many ways throughout this book).
Of course life and love can never be that easy, with The devil women Skank Heather who works for Rossi Enterprise's and she is the one who become's the evil witch that poor Drew contend's with due to her wanting the one person she can't have Trevor Rossi. The Love for Drew and Trevor come's easy and out of nowhere it's the love at first sight. They take each other's breathe away. The new inexperienced journey's they take together make you love these character's more. They aren't used to what they have or are experiencing but they experience it together. (A time of many first)
Everything is perfect for a whole 6 months! Can they find their way together to keep each other in their perfect little world together where the outside world doesn't exist?

To find the ending to this journey I would recommend to take it yourself with Drew and Trevor.

I look forward to more journey's with all the character's I have met throughout!

Wonderful Romance Reading

This was a lovely storyline with lots of great characters. I enjoyed the romance story between the two main characters, my only complaint is the story felt like it left me hanging. An epilogue would have helped to tie it up better.

sweet & cute

I really enjoyed Lexie & Ashton's story, up until the end. It flowed really well & was very fun & sweet, but the epilogue seemed very abrupt. I just personally would have liked that to be the last chapter & an epilogue further into the future, showing a bit more of the relationship after they got back together from the "seemingly obligatory break up" portion.

Now, since the next book in the series features Ashton's best friend, Jax, we may see more of Lexie & Ashton in his book, I don't know. Still, for the most part it was a good read! : )

Another awesome book!

I have followed this series all the way through. I really love the way Lindsay Paige and Mary Smith write. They do a great job of pulling the reader in from page 1. This book is my least favorite in the series but only because I don't like books with kids in them. It is a total personal preference. Ashton was AWESOME. I even liked the relationship he had with his kid's mom. Lexie was a little bit annoying to me but again I think it was just because of the whole kid thing. Honestly, go read this book. I recommend you reading the whole series. You will not be disappointed.

A Wonderful, Heart Warming Story

A wonderful, heart warming story of moving forward from the past. Mia, is survivor of breast cancer, a divorce and now moving back home with her two kids. Ryker, has come to Montana, to his land that his dad left him. Ryker has lost his fiance recently. Ryker and Mia meet over the property that they both think they own. The sexual chemistry is there immediately, Mia tries to fight it off for many reasons. Can Ryker win Mia's heart.

I could not put this book down. Even though it is a short story, it is packed with a wonderful story of moving forward in life. The most important thing is, every woman needs a Ryker in their life. Ryker made Mia feel beautiful and whole again.

I highly recommend this book to everyone. It is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone but you will enjoy so much that you will want to read the whole series. I received this book from Netgalley for an honest review.

Montana is the place to be

I loved this beautifully written, emotional story that takes place in Marietta, Montana. Mia moves back home with her two kids after her marriage falls apart and she has health issues. Thoughts and plans for the future are helping her through the tough time in her life, when a wrench called Ryker puts a halt to her plans. I loved being taken back to Marietta and glimpsing into the lives of the folks there, I feel like I am a part of their special community.

When I started reading Montana Darling, I thought this is a bit different from the usual Marietta, Montana books. There is not a cowboy in sight. Still it is a wonderful read, reminding me that it takes people from all walks of life to make a community prosperous. Lawyers and photographers are also needed as in the case of this story.

The main character, Mia Zabrinski is a smart, rather angry, and cynical, tough mother with two teenage children. Just like one would expect her to be after the fight for her life that followed on the heels of her divorce. I liked her even though she could be brash. Ryker Bensen is the perfect opposite as her love interest. I could easily see why she thought him to be to zen-y in the beginning. Both have suffered loses that must be faced before they can have a future. It is the working through this issues that make the story so interesting.

The fight over the land is what makes their path cross but is not to me the driving force of the story. I really liked that it is a deeper story than just land rights. Montana Darling deals with the harsh reality of life. For the amazing way that Debra Salonen deals with life after breast cancer for a single woman I applaud her. Nothing is sugar coated but neither is it a pessimist viewpoint either. All around good read.
