Lily Foster's latest sweet, sexy new adult romance
One hockey phenom, destined for the pros.
One summer he'll never forget.
One girl he will never stop loving...
First loves are not easily forgotten…
Anna has endured more by the age of eighteen than most do in a lifetime. Unless you know her, you see only the beautiful, privileged, bright college freshman who seems to have it all. Few people know what she’s gone through or know who she really is.
Declan has never forgotten Anna and feels foolish for it. So young, and their time together so brief, but he still can’t shake the feeling that she was meant for him—that she’s the only one who’s ever really understood him. But Anna’s been gone for a long time now. She’s no more than a distant, painful memory.
Fate can be cruel or fate can be kind…
By the time Anna and Declan come face to face again, time has passed, grief has changed them both and they’ve each found love and solace in someone else’s arms.
Has too much time passed, or are the bonds of our first true love as strong as they feel when we’re young, innocent, and consumed with the promise of forever?

Review
★★★★"Book four in the Let Me series is a heartbreaking story of first loves and adversity that can be read as a standalone. This is an emotional roller coaster about two lost souls given a second chance to be together. Told from both protagonists' points of view, Foster allows us to see the story from a unique perspective, and the reader may be surprised where their allegiances lie." -RT Book Reviews
From the Author
The Let Me series is a collection of stand-alone stories. There are no cliff-hangers but the books are inter-connected as characters are introduced that may feature in subsequent story lines. If you are a fan of Happily Ever Afters that come only after the characters struggle, stumble and sometimes fail...then you will laugh, cry, occasionally cringe and ultimately, fall in love right along with them.

I'm gutted.
Grief, despair, love, lust, betrayal and ultimately....true happiness.
This story, a true stand-alone, gives you closure.
I was train-wrecked by this book...in a very good way.

Great coming of age romance
By Gracie
Let me start off with how much I loved the cover. Anna was introduced in the previous book in this series and when I saw this cover I thought, yes that's Anna, a mix of badass and vulnerable.
I've loved all of these books so far, even reading out of order. I cried reading this one. Anna's story and Declans, even before they hook up, make you love them and pull for them to get it right.
This book had the perfect mix of emotion, steamy and happy ever after.
I saw on the authors website that Jeremy's story is coming. I really liked him in this book so I can't wait. But I still want more Dylan !

Great read! Read it in one day!

I liked this one FAR better than the previous novel. (I haven't read the first two). The writing was more established, characters more developed, and I just liked the story better (but that is personal preference).
I am a big fan of the chase, the angst, the drama. I loved the second chance romance aspect of this and when we got the flashback, we got the sweetness of the 15 year old first love during a hard time in their lives. That added a dimension that I really enjoyed at the beginning. We got to skip all the introduction and got that in the flashback.
I really liked Anna (and disliked her, but I will get back to that). I really feel like her character was very real for an 18 year old just starting school and having that strong emotional connection to Declan. She was decisive about her relationship, about her job, about what she wanted. I appreciate decisive female leads.
I liked Declan. I felt his struggle. While I did feel like he lacked some MAJOR balls and was able to be so easily manipulated, not just by Tess, but by Cassie and the girls at the end, you can empathize why. I felt like he needed to vocalize these reasons far earlier in the book, but then, we would miss some of the drama.
Some things I wasn't super fond of: I didn't like how weak Declan was. He needed to man up earlier. Granted, I understand why, but how far it went in the story got a little tiring. Also, how weak Anna was in reference to Declan. It seemed a little out of character from the previous book and in other aspects of her life. In love, we do tend to act like fools, but we all know how to play the game a little. Oh, and the female characters being TOTALLY ok with cheating is NOT ok with me. Tess, Anna...COME ON. This is the second book by this author that just excuses cheating away. I don't understand this. Again, personal preference...I don't like cheating in books, but to just say "It's ok!" Try again. At least Anna gave Declan a hard time for his ill behavior.
One final complaint, and it's actually a good one, is that I wish the happy ending was longer. We have all this build up for not a lot of happy times. It was a little bit of a let down, but maybe we'll get cameos in later books. I DO hope that Dylan (from book 3 Let Me Go) actually gets a book. I am still hung up on that one.
Overall, I would give this a solid 4-4.5, if not a bit higher. I didn't ever feel like I wanted to stop and read it in 1 day. Great read.
