A must read

OMG where should I start. I don't want to give away any spoilers just in case you haven't read some of the other Iron Tornadoes books, but let's just say things are getting interesting for more than just the main couple. This book centers around Sally and Slider. Sally has been pining over Slider for sometime, but Slider feels that he is not really good enough for her and keeps her in the "friend" category. Suffice it to say, Sally is able to make Slider jealous and well that leads to the rest of the story. The book has it all, romance, mystery and drama. It is an action packed read that will grab and keep your attention to the end. Oh and the ending. Man I can't wait until the next book. I'm crossing my fingers about who it will center around.

Now you don't need to necessarily have read all of the other books in the series to enjoy this one. But it is a very well written and exciting series. So you won't be wasting your time or money.

Slider has been undercover for several years in the Category Five Knights MC. Now that the Southern White Wizards have been stopped he is a crossroads of what to do. How can he tell his fellow MC members that he's actually a cop? He believes he isn't a good man.

Sally has been in love with Slider for a while. No matter how hard she tries to make him see her as more than an employee he rebuffs every attempt. She just doesn't understand why.

Just when things seem like they are headed in the right direction Sally is placed in danger. Slider will do anything he can to protect her. Even if it means blowing his cover.

I love this series. Its always fast paced, with lots of action. The emotions come through as your reading. You feel the characters sadness, anger, happiness, and love. I really like that we get small glimpses of characters from previous stories in this series.

Olivia never lets me down! I really enjoyed reading about Sally and Slider. Reading about the other characters was nice too. Like old friends coming back together. I couldn't put it down!
The feelings that Sally and Slider had for each other while everyone else knew what was going on ,what they thought were unrequited love had me yearning for them to get together already!
It is a fast paced love story with sexy hot scenes that will scourch you! Watch out! Its a sexy hot and steamy romance that will capture your heart and attention as well as leave you wanting for more. Can hardly wait to read tge next one in this Series.
Five stars all the way! Put it on yoir TBR as a must read...like now!
Slider will make you wish he was sliding into you!

Sex slavery is a turn off

Look, I'm going to be honest. I really wanted to like this book. I am a huge Alessandra Torre and was one of the ones that waited years for the follow up book to Blindfolded Innocence. I have loved what she gave us since then. This, however, was a big miss for me.

What I liked:
- Brett and Riley. Yes, Brett is another mysteriously uber wealthy male, but he's not a jerk about it. Riley is smart and thank you god, over the age of 25! (32 in fact) and not a virgin. I also liked that Riley is from a small town but not ashamed of it. She doesn't want to be anything than what she is. She has friends (thank you!) and interacts with them and doesn't cut them out of her life when she meets Brett. And Brett accepts her for that and he doesn't want to change her.
- This is a standalone book, no cliffhangers, no prequels, just a standalone.

What I didn't like:
- The sex slave story. For whatever reason, this has become a *thing*, a genre if you will. Yes it is real, yes it is happening as you read this, and it's horrible and I can't even imagine what it is really like. BUT it does not deserve to be romanticized. And that is what is happening. Alessandra Torre isn't the only author right now exploiting this topic, so this is a general rant, but also the reason I did not like this book. I just can't believe that if someone is held captive for nine months, raped, brutalized, beaten, left to wallow in their own waste, they are off skiing ready to face marriage four months later. Let's be real. Something like suffering through being a sex slave is life altering trauma and not something to be treated lightly. And I really think that is what is being done. If we were talking years later to a HEA I would believe it. But for the "hero" to swoop in and save the girl, punish the man that took her, and have their HEA months later is just insulting.
- I wanted to know more about Brett and Riley. I wanted to know their story and hear about the small town she lived in and their fun trips. Too much time was wasted on Kitty.

I did want to like this book, but the subject matter is just too serious for me to have it wrapped up in a nice neat package. I want to read for fun and romance and I don't think those two things will ever combine successfully with sex slavery for me.

Not my cup of tea but still captivating !

It took me a while to actually write this review. I didn't know how I felt about this book. At first it didn't keep my interest at all. I kept putting it down and reading other things. Then I was like no, I'm going to finish this book.
I Love dual POV's but when they are done right. I felt lost the first part of the book. I had no idea what was going on and who was Kitten.
I did feel for Riley and Bretts relationship, They were cute but I wish there was more.
The best part of this book is when the twist came and we find out who kitten is and what the hell is actually going on. I had a love/hate relationship with this book. It wasn't my cup of tea but once I got into I couldn't stop. And if you must know theres no cliff hangers!!

Incredibly confusing!

I've read other books by this author that I enjoyed but was thrown for a loop with this one. By 85% I had to go back and read the last few chapters over again several times. I was confused about who certain people were and where in the timeline of the story the last 15% was set. I think the way the chapters were titled added to my confusion. Like another reader whose review I read I didn't feel any connection to Riley or Brett and didn't understand why they were together. I can give 2 stars for the storyline and 1 for the fact that I didn't stop reading to start another book but have to take away 2 stars for the way it was written!

Better than the first!!!

Symbiosis is the second book in the Scintillate series. I highly recommend reading book one first as this one starts where the other left off.

I enjoyed this story although a lot. The first one was good but it seemed to end just as all the secrets were discovered. In this one Kate now knows she is Asteri and is learning to use her new powers with the help of her boyfriend Nick and her friend Alex. This is where it gets complicated, while she is learning all these new tricks the nephilim are still trying to kill her and on top of everything she is having dreams about Nick and Alex's past. This is weighing her down she feels like a peeping Tom spying on their past but she's afraid to ask them about it. Little clues along the way start building a picture of why the two men are the way they are, what they have been through and how difficult it is the be an Asteri. As if all these things aren't hard enough Kate now has conflicting feelings for Alex and Nick. This is what I found frustrating, I don't want to give away to much away because a lot happens but their is a reason beyond her control that she is now having these feelings. I'm hoping to learn more and to watch Kate become an even stronger woman than she is while she figures out how to become an individual not just take what is happening as fate.

Anyway I really enjoyed the book this one is a lot more action packed and the story is really picking up. Can't wait to see what else will happen.

Great Second Book, Better Than the First!

Kate is starting to learn more about her powers, the Asteri, and the Nephilim. But she is starting to dream more and more about Nick and Alex’s past. She feels like an intruder to their past and makes her see them both in a different light. Kate is having a hard time processing the dreams and tries to keep acting normal. But with the Nephilim still trying to kill her and coming into her full power things are not going to be easy for Kate.

I liked Scintillate but I admit that there were a lot of things going on that are left unexplained. No need to worry, these things are explained in Symbiosis. I loved watching Kate come into her powers and going from that naïve little girl to someone that could hold her own. I also liked how much more depth to Nick and Alex. I admit that I’m not a fan of love triangles but the added background gave this a fresh twist to the normal love triangle conflicts.

I recommend reading Scintillate before Symbosis. You will have more background to the story and will enjoy Symbiosis more. I’m really liking how this story is progressing and I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book.

If you like young adult paranormal stories, I recommend add this to your reading list.

gets even better than ever..

This is the second book in the Scintillate series and I must say, this surpassed my expectation from the first book. I liked how Scintillate was written, Alex, Nick and Kate’s characters were quite good (although I thought their love triangle was quite overrated) and while I was left hanging in the end, I didn’t mind it because I knew something else’s brewing. And I was right.

Kate finally learned more about her real self, her real abilities, her real powers. Together with her boyfriend Nick and with the help of her friend Alex, Kate flourished as she harnessed her powers. But when she slept and dreamt, she felt like a traitor, like someone betraying the two closest people in her life. She mostly dreamed of Alex and Nick’s history. Soon her feelings got complicated. She was torn. She felt conflicted. She no longer had control.

Again, I liked how fast the story flowed and unraveled. Notwithstanding the love triangle, I think the nephilim and Asteris were a great part of the story. Kate slowly grew on me and continued to impress me, too. There’s much more exciting mysteries happening around her and I can’t help but wait and see what happens next!

Mighty fine series!

Let me just start by saying this was a fabulous series and I very much enjoyed it! I also wanna say that any jealous feelings that Erick has toward Owen are of his own doing. It was clear in book 3 that he was very jealous of the relationship whether friendship or otherwise that Daniella and Owen had. He had another man watch out for his intended for a year and took no measures to get to know her and explain things to him. He should have been the one to do so. Yes, he was Prime but as this was pretty important he still should have made time aside from everything else. He had no right to be jealous. Of course she was claimed by Owen who formed a bond. All that aside things did work out to where they both mated her. I really wanna know what happens with Catnip! She's so funny and sweet. I kinda was under the impression her and Grayson shared a mutual attraction. I could be wrong and I know things are still new with the merger than anything between a tiger and werewolf wouldnt necessarily work yet but that hardly ever stops anyone sharing the love so to speak. I know Chris really likes her too but he is younger and she doesn't necessarily harbor any feelings toward him that way. Not to say that its not possible. I can't wait to read the story of Ericks brother. I enjoyed this series very much again...I say that! Daniella was freaking awesome! I loved her character!

Wow! Absolutely purrr-fect! This is the fourth installment of the sexy new series, Claiming Their Royal Mate, by Andie Devaux and it is fabulous! Exciting! Well Written! Original! Smart! Thrilling! Captivating! Romantic! Sensual! Sexy! And oh so hot! The story is well written and compelling. The dialog is smart and sassy. Handsome, sexy weretiger, Owen, has been sent to Denver by Erick, his royal prime, to covertly guard and watch over Daniella-keep her safe from the insidious vampires who wanted to capture and enslave the rare weretigers. Daniella was adopted and is totally unaware that she is a weretiger, a royal pureblood which is very very rare. Erick has only seen Daniella once and that was at a distance but he liked what he saw. He has big plans for this female. It didn't matter that she didn't even know him. When her first heat cycle takes her, she will have accept to him. She would not be able to control herself. And he will impregnate her with his royal seed thereby insuring a royal cub which his pride desperately needs. He didn't need her but his pride, his people, needed Daniella. Wow, I absolutely love these characters ! I don't want to see their story end.
With her relationship with Erick and Owen just beginning, Daniella now has to deal with a stalker. Not just your everyday, run of the mill stalker, but a Vampire. With the help of other non-humans, Erick, Owen, and Daniella are now on a massive hunt for this stalker. Daniella enlists a fellow weretiger to help gain more info to catch their stalker, even if it means putting herself in harm's way. Throw in some fight scenes with a Prime protecting his mate and some HOT, STEAMY SCENES and you have the perfect ending to an amazing series ! I will miss these characters. I hope to see them in subsequent stories.

Devlin could not believe she was smiling and not screaming at him to get out of her bed. He pushed himself up and gently rolled her to her back before making sure her injured arm was tucked down by her side. Placing his palm on her forehead, he tried to determine whether or not she had a fever.
"What are you doing?" Olivia reached up and pushed his hand away.
"Taking your temperature," he replied while studying her face.
Olivia's lips quirked slightly. "And what's the verdict doctor? Will I live?"
Devlin could not figure her out. She was different this morning. Crap, he groaned to himself, she still had drugs in her system. He sighed and gently ran his knuckles down her cheek. "You'll live a very long time if I have any say. How are you feelin' this morning?"
"I'm good, but I'd be better if you'd make love to me." She watched him close his eyes and clench his teeth together. Interesting.
Devlin flopped down on his back, wishing he could take advantage of this moment.
"Devlin?"
He opened his eyes to see her peering down at him in confusion. "Love, I can't." He could see the hurt in her face before she turned away to throw her legs over the side of the bed. He moved fast and placed his legs around the outside of hers, sitting on the edge of the bed with her. Putting his arms around her middle with his chin resting on her good shoulder, he tightened his arms when she tried to rise.
"Olivia, you're taking some powerful meds, and I think it's the drugs speaking. They've loosened you up. You had morphine yesterday and codeine last night. As much as I'd love to make you my mate, I couldn't stand it if you felt like I'd trapped you. But, as soon as this drug is out of your system, you're mine." Running his cheek up against hers, he smiled. "When I claim you, I don't want anything in you but me."
Olivia jammed her elbow into his stomach and heard an oomph as his breath whooshed out of his lungs. Pulling free, she strode to the bathroom and turned in the doorway. "You blew your chance wolfie. Now I'm gonna' make you beg." She grinned evilly.

If you are looking for a story with laughter interspersed with sexy times then Wolf Creek Ghosts by Jo Ellen is the book to pick up. It is third in the Texas Pack series and while characters from previous stories make an appearance it can be read as a standalone.
You will fall in love with Olivia as much as I did. She sees dead people, I mean she really does, and the best part is she has conversations with them, out loud. Trying to watch her cover up when she forgets others not only can’t see the ghosts but also can’t hear them was worth quite a few giggles. She was such a girly girl and according to Devlin a few screws short of a full load, but I loved that Ms. Ellen made her strong willed and courageous. She was used to people thinking poorly of her and while she wasn’t completely comfortable within her own skin, she was comfortable being a work in process. I loved that Ms. Ellen lead her to a town where she wasn’t the strangest thing walking within the town limits. Ms. Ellenbrought back two kick-ass female characters who understood what it meant to be different and both were willing to share their knowledge and friendship. Devlin was equally compelling. His mate was crazy but he didn’t care. He would love her and care for her to the best of his ability. I loved that Ms. Ellen allowed Devlin to fall even as she didn’t leave Olivia out on that ledge by herself. Devlin quickly learned that things were not as they appeared and he rolled pretty well with the punches. I laughed, I cried and I thoroughly enjoyed the ride. I am sure that once you pick up Ms. Ellen’s story you will too!

Delvin and. Olivia have a great story. I love the idea that she helps ghost move on. This series never ceases to amaze. The abilities of the mates are so unique. The way all the different supernatural beings come together is awesome. I can't wait till Hi Ellen finishes the next story. (I am so grateful Jo Ellen is recovering from her illness. May she continue to grow stronger and more healthy everyday.) I hope Robert and Melissa's book is released soon. I wouldn't mind No all having his own book too. Hint hint.

As expected Jo Ellen comes through with another winner. Always look forward to the next book. You will find although the characters carry through this series they maintain their integrity and each new story is like meeting a new friend. I have found each book tells their own story and is not a retelling of their prior one just with different names, as often happens as you get into a series. Devlin and Olivia's story is one you will enjoy

A Charming Start To A New Series!

I'm not going into details about my weekend, but I was very busy and almost forgot about reading The Promise of Palm Grove by Shelly Shepard Gray. I was due to post my review today, so I made a pot of coffee and read the entire book this morning.

The Promise of Palm Grove centers on a young Amish woman, Leona, who traveled from Ohio to Florida with her cousin Sara and her fiance’s sister Mattie. Ever since she got engaged to Edmund, her entire family & community has become obsessed with her upcoming wedding. She was thrilled when she was invited on a mini-vacation to the Amish community in Pinecraft, Florida as it is a way for her to relieve the stress of planning a wedding. Well, at least that is what she told Mattie and Sara, but the truth is that she need to take a break from Edmund, whom can be a little controlling at times.

The one thing Leona didn't plan on was meeting the handsome Zachary Kaufmann, a resident of Pinecraft, whom she takes an instant liking to. Zachary has the same affection for Leona and enjoys spending time with her.

Now Leona must decide whether or not to return to Ohio and marry Edmund or stay here in Pinecraft for a possible life with Zachary.

I'm a big fan of Amish fiction and Shelly Shepard Gray is one of my favorite writers of the genre. She doesn't disappoint with book one of the Amish Brides of Pinecraft series; giving us one of her best stories so far. The main characters are likeable, the plot is intriguing and the descriptions of the Pinecraft are wonderfully written. Overall, The Promise Of Palm Grove is fast-paced Amish romance that I enjoyed reading from start to finish.

Wonderful Story

This first book in the Amish Brides of Pinecraft series does not disappoint. Shelley Shepard Gray has woven a tale of love and friendship that will hook the reader from the first page and keep them interested until the very last word.

This book was a quick and easy read. The story line is good and flows so well that the pages practically turn themselves. The characters are all likable (except maybe Edmund--don't worry, you will understand once you start reading) and the setting is wonderful. Shelley has written with such detail that I felt like I was actually in sunny Pinecraft, FL instead of cold and snowy Indiana.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves Amish fiction or someone who is looking for a nice lighthearted read. This is a good book to read on a snowy, rainy or sunny day.

A Great Read from Kit Morgan

Another great read from author Kit Morgan. I have enjoyed reading all of the Holiday Mail-Order Brides books. It is just like going back to visit old friends in Independence. The Vanders, the Brocks, the Smythes, Betsy, the professor, and the whole town are again involved in a mystery as to who is ordering mail-order brides for the single men in town. Ellie Sampson arrives on the stage as a mail-order bride for Julian Smythe. The problem is that Julian nor anyone else knows anything about her. This book is full of comedy, romance, and even some suspense. This is a great read. I can't wait for the next one at Easter!

Kit Morgan enchants us again with another holiday mail order bride. Julian wasn't aware he was looking for a wife, but one arrives anyways. Ellis took a chance and is confused by the turn of events that leaves her stranded. What follows is a spectacular story filled with humor and leaves you smiling for more!

I love Kit Morgan Books they are wonderful, sweet and full of romance and mischief. This last book had me laughing out loud, Ellie and Julian were excellent. Even the annoying Bernice was very well written in this book and her part in the story was welcomed. This is one of her best books so far and I can't wait for the next holiday bride. If you want to read a great historical try Kit Morgan she's a wonderful author.

funny and loveable! a great love story

You will laugh out loud and sigh as well. This is the first for me with this author but not the last as I am fixing to start reading the next in the series. There were a few gramical errors but the characters were great and she made you feel like you were right there. You could feel the chemistry.

If you love a good cowboy romance story with lots of good hardy laughs, then this book is for you!!!

Not having read anything by this author before, this book really took me by surprise.... but in a very good way. Meri and Trey together made me both laugh and swoon. I love a good cowboy story anyday, but this one was better than I expected. With Meri being a virtual city girl all of her life, I didn't give her much hope when she decided to head to wards her newly inherited mountain ranch in Wyoming, but I would have been completely wrong!!! And while she could be a real fumbling klutz at times, I have to give her kudo's for being strong-willed enough to want to learn how to do things all on her own, rather than letting these big strapping cowboys doing it all for her.

Trey....who wouldn't swoon around a big hunky cowboy like him hanging around? There were many times throughout the story, when most men would have given up on Meri and just walked away, but not Trey. But then again; I guess Meri gave him enough laughs to keep him coming back to see what other precarious situations she could possibly get herself into next. Of course those heated kisses they shared probably had something to do with him wanting to hang around, too. lol!

I also fell in love with a few of the secondary characters too like: Bandy,Trey's right hand man and ranch foreman, and then there was Meri's close friend, Samantha, and of course last but not least was Trey's sweet housekeeper, Consuelo.

LOVE IT!

I enjoyed reading this final story of Travis and Riley. It was a short, sweet read of the final days before they get married.

I fell in love with Travis and Riley in Choose Us, which you need to read first, so seeing a little bit more of them and seeing it all come together made me feel complete.

Thank you Caylie for this final glimpse into the start of their married life, I loved it!

This was a nice follow-up to Travis and Riley's story. I will say that when the blurb mentions non-explicit sexual content I thought it would be fade to black but it's not and there are some graphic things that happen in the story which I try to avoid. Just a warning if you may feel the same way. I probably wouldn't have read it had I known.

Amazing

I have read book one through six and they are full of passion, humor, whit, and so much more. Each of the characters have their own crisis to handle. I also love that with each book; we will see a lot and keep up with the other characters from the previous books. Anxious to read book seven when it comes out.

Really Loved It, can't wait for the next book

I loved it I can't wait for the next book. I loved Bella and James story, I always felt for James in the first five book being undercover and living a hard life. I thought it was sweet that he got a sweet girl like Bella that hasn't been kissed in ten years, an has never been with a man. Bella manages to melt James frozen heart. I would totally recommend this book and the entire series.

Well this author has proven herself again! Ms. Maltezos has not written a book that always keeps the reader glued to the story. Each story continues with an entire different themes that always end with true love finding its target. Each and every book written has been a true blessing to read as should all books from a truly talented author.
