Not all that glitters is gold...
Ian McMiller, dumped by his jerk of an ex and forced to entertain spoiled billionaires at an exclusive club to pay his rent, is reluctant to do everything the club manager wants him to do. On a break from the wild and unrestrained atmosphere in there, he discovers a cat in the alley beside the club and hopes to rescue her by smuggling her into his apartment. Things take a turn for the worse as a billionaire he thought he could convince himself to like turns out to have a much uglier side. Just as he's giving up hope of getting out of this mess, his savior appears...
Gorgeous, reclusive billionaire Felix Parker is brokenhearted over his latest romantic entanglement and ready to give his brother a bruising for what he's done to him when he finds out that this cute young host has been taken advantage of by him, too. He immediately tries to take care of Ian, the cat, and his brother, but he soon discovers that he can only pick two out of three. As a natural worrier with a lot of responsibilities, Ian's the only one who makes him feel lighthearted and carefree... but can he afford to follow his heart?
This is the first stand-alone novel in a series with a HEA ending and NO cliffhanger.

Couldn't Put It Down
By Elle Kaylind
I loved this sweet, spicy, romantic story of two hurt and broken men finding each other at a time when neither of them feel they're quite ready for another relationship.
It was a bit confusing to start out and get into, but once a couple of the characters were out of the story, the pace picked up and things only got better.
Ian and Felix had the chemistry right from the start and were both unsure if the other was ready to begin something new. Their kisses and subsequent love making were HOT and sexy. Yummy!
Their lives were full of little twists and turns that made me think one minute they would never be together and the next was an Awwwww moment. I could feel them falling in love thru their words and actions. I loved how protective Felix felt towards Ian from the very first meeting. I would love to see this story continue and find out what happens to Harry and Silas. I can't help but feel there's a past and possible future between them.
I do have one little frown-the fact that we were reminded that Felix was "billionare" on nearly every page. This didn't matter to Ian and I just felt that the description was overused.
This is definitely going on my keeper shelf to take down and read from time to time!
I did recieve a free ARC in exchange for an honest and open review. However, I guarantee that this in no way influenced my opinions and review of this book. I truly enjoyed reading Felix and Ian's love story.

Wow! Amazing! The way we are able to connect with the characters is great. The heroes give us hope that all will be ok. Silas lets us see the weaker side of ourselves. The instant connection between the characters was fun. Seeing their relationship grow into love was warming. Their trust in one another, again gives strength to those who don't easily trust. Well done! Can't wait for the next one.

4.5 stars for a sweet romance with erotic touches
By eureka1
I received a free ARC in exchange for an honest review. What a fun story for a great price!
I thoroughly enjoyed this lightly-erotic romance between a geeky billionaire (early thirties) and young man (about 24) working at a gay club. I would very much like a sequel to Felix and Ian’s story—see their romance progress, have Ian meet Felix’s parents, etc. I’d also like to read a story which features Harry, Ian’s host friend from the club.
The story flowed well with very few grammatical errors—greatly appreciated by this reader. Occasional awkward phrasing did not detract much from the flow of the story.
As an animal lover, particularly cats, I thoroughly enjoyed Callie’s part in the story.
Felix’s addiction to gaming (apparently not with live opponents and with no gambling component) is a bit of a tame addiction but works for this light romance novel.
Questions and Quibbles:
--Third Chances as the title and as mentioned in the book: I think could be clearer that a third chance means another chance rather than literally being number three in a list of chances.
Felix refers to giving his brother Silas a third chance (Loc 1433), but the book implies that Silas has been given more chances than that. When does it become a third chance?
How is Ian on his third chance when it comes to Felix? He dated before Ryder was his boyfriend (although it appears that Ryder may have been the first boyfriend). Ian considered having sex with Silas to meet Key Club expectations of hosts, but he was never a boyfriend (Loc 1436). How does this add up to Felix being Ian’s third chance?
Callie (Loc 1444) and Felix (Loc 1924) are also referred to as having third chances although I can’t count them as 1, 2, 3.
--Please get rid of the cigar Felix is smoking on the cover. Smoking is NOT sexy and cigar smoke stinks. There was no mention of Felix smoking at home or in the club, so there’s no tie-in between the story and the cover. Perhaps Felix could hold a paddle instead. ;)
--I suggest changing cum to come and cumming to coming. I personally find cum/cumming crude without being appealing. Those alternates for come/coming are distracting and pop me out of the story. (This may be a personal preference that doesn’t apply to other readers.)
--What’s Ian’s history as far as parents and siblings? The only slight mention of family is that Ian didn’t know what it felt like to have a brother (Loc 1424).
--Didn’t Ian have any friends before working at the club, where Harry becomes his friend? Felix has his good friend Oz, but Ian doesn’t appear to have friends or family.
--What kind of education does Ian have? There’s a mention of working in fast food as a teen (Loc 188) but that’s all I noticed.
--What’s was Felix’s career (and education) before he won the lottery?
--What’s the usual length of a first kiss? I found the reference to a first kiss […] that lasted longer than usual (Loc 1379) rather odd.
--Why does Ian think that Ryder would hurt Felix (Loc 1916)? It seems Ryder has been emotionally manipulative/abusive toward and possessive of Ian, but there’s no mention of physical abuse.
--Why does Ian include Oz when he explains that no one is perfect (Loc 2844)? Ian hasn’t met Oz; Felix mentioned once to Ian that Oz is his best friend (Loc 2025).
