Julia Kent never disappoints! This boxed set is completely phenomenal! I absolutely love this hilariously sexy series from Julia Kent, and I’m counting the days to the February 26th release date of Shopping for a Billionaire’s Fiancee, the next installment in the series! For your convenience, I’ve broken out my review of this boxed set by individual book.
Shopping for a Billionaire 1
Shannon, a mystery shopper meets Declan, the billionaire for the purposes of this story. It’s definitely lust at first sight... with the possibility of more. This first story in the series chronicles their hilarious first meeting and road to their first date, which is nothing short of outrageous. You will absolutely love this book! It is quirky, romantic, intriguing, surprising, and of course sexy!

I laughed out loud at this book over and over again. This second installment of the series was, in my opinion, even better than the first... and that’s saying something. I can soooo relate to Shannon... except I don’t have a gorgeous near-billionaire panting after me. She, like a lot of us, has some confidence issues but she’s working on believing in herself as best she can. Nothing better for the old self esteem than to have sex on legs, otherwise known as Declan, chasing after you. The chemistry between Declan and Shannon is white hot! Declan seems damn near perfect so far. The romantic in me sure hopes he stays that way. Shannon deserves some happy ending stuff. That’s somewhere off in the future though. In this book, we’re just trying to get to the first official date, which is no small feat when you throw in jealous ex-boyfriends, turdmobiles, half-mouse carcasses, and a very colorful family. Our boy Declan, however, will not be deterred.

This book really delves deeper into the relationship between Shannon and Declan as they get to know each other better... like a lot better. Their burgeoning love story is so romantic, sweet, and endearing. Also, since these are Julia Kent's characters, you can expect some laugh out loud moments as well, including more penith jokes than you can shake a stick at. Shannon's family is also a constant source of amusement. The whole book overall is nothing short of fabulous, and if you're not reading it, you're missing out.

I absolutely loved this book! Julia Kent’s fantastic flair for character development is really highlighted in this installment as we see almost as much from the supporting characters as we do from Shannon and Declan, and it makes for a highly engaging and entertaining story. You just can’t help but be drawn into this story and to root for these two to make it work. Bottom line, if you want a story that is sweet, funny, sexy, crazy, thoughtful, and intriguing, then this is the book for you.
Christmas Shopping for a Billionaire
I have been a big Julia Kent fan for a while now, and this book just reminded me of exactly why that is. This book is absolutely phenomenal! I mean, really... what could be better than Declan as sexy Santa? I’d stand in line to sit on his lap! If you want a story that is sweet, sexy, and LOL funny, this is definitely the book for you!

#1 This book literally had me laughing out loud. It was a fabulous read I couldn't stop reading it until I finished. Then I just had to get book two!
#2 This book literally has you laughing and gasping at the same time. Sometimes you really can't dream of what will happen next. I would think these books should make everyone's best reads!
#3 Shannon and Declan's first real date ends with a visit to the hospital and a major mishap. Then of course when everything couldn't be any better someone always jabs their jaws.
#4 How many toilet incidents can one person have? Will they finally end up together?

Another totally amazing winner of a book!

Ok, so I'm about to do something I've never done before, and didn't think I'd ever do. Ever. I'm giving a 5***** review to a book, and also taking the time to write it out instead of just lazily pressing the rating stars at the end of the book on my Kindle like I usually do. But the thing that makes this really unusual is that I'M NOT EVEN DONE reading the book yet. About 2/3 done, but my Kindle needs a recharge and I'm emotionally drained. Anyway, about the book.
This isn't the first book I've read by Julia Kent, so I go into it with high expectations for a few good laughs. She does not disappoint. In just a couple pages I already find myself chuckling and guffawing and at times, laughing so hard that my belly hurts and I can't even keep my eyes open from tearing up. But it's not all just fun and games. This is a serious story with an interesting plot with deeply developed characters. I also like that her characters don't have to be model perfect but can be plus sized and still be beautiful and lovable. And I find myself feeling the whole emotional gamut, the laughter, surprise, happiness, hope, and also pain and more. (And like I said, I'm not even done yet.) The emotional pain is real. I feel it in my heart, like somebody punched me in the gut, and real tears pour down my cheeks while I listen to the song on the radio (in the book) over and over again on my real ipod. Plus there are also those serious parts where the characters do some introspection or make heartfelt declarations, and the wording is just so.... so unbelievably PERFECT that I find myself highlighting long quotes because their substance is just so deep, I want to be able to pull them up again on a moment's notice.
No, I don't know how the book is going to end (and if I did I wouldn't tell you anyway – I hate spoilers), but I can take a pretty good guess, I think, hope, wonder... One thing I am sure of, however, is that it will not disappoint. Julia Kent is too good a writer and holds me in the palm of her laptop. I know the 5***** review will hold up, all the way thru to the end.
