Amazingly talented author!

Loved this book! Bulletproof Weeks is the continuation of Logan & Izzy's story. Anything But Mine (#1 in the series) didn't end well for them, so I couldn't wait to see what happened next. Taryn has a way of drawing you in & making you feel connected to the characters. You grow to love & root for them. The ending left me stunned & it took me a few minutes to snap out of it. ;-) The wait until book 3 comes out in March will be torture. Taryn, you are an amazingly talented author. Thank you for the hours of escape you provide with each book.

Still blown away and loving it!

Izzy is now trying to re-build her life after feeling betrayed by Logan. Oh the life of a rock star! His every move is subject to the paparazzi lens, and they feast on creating trouble to sell their pictures. Never mind if what they say is true! Truth does not sell papers or pictures!
With the shadow of Aimee's obsession over him, Logan can only do what he must - protect Izzy. Aimee's veiled threat against Izzy's life has shaken him to the core. He will spend his fortune protecting her from harm if it is the last thing he does. It does not matter that he has spent the last 6 months living like a hermit. He misses her and knows he might never see her again.
Being followed by a security detail inconspicuously and unbeknownst to her, has not altered Izzy's resolve to loose herself in her work. Fifteen trips from coast to coast in one month alone. But she is intelligent and observant. She catches on to what is going on and then all hell breaks loose! Watch out Logan! You have some explaining to do!
Logan and Izzy's story continues as they battle their bruised feelings and the deep emotions they dare not face. They love each other. Truth has not been forthcoming from Logan and Izzy will not stop now until she finds out what the heck is going on!
I fell in love with Logan in the first book. I gained appreciation for Izzy for her courage, honesty and vulnerability. In this new book, I feel like I have gained true insight into the psyche of these characters. Taryn Elliott has given us here a fabulous story of love and the incredible obstacles public figures go through in order to lead a "normal" life. We fans need to reconsider how we ogle over them and respect the few moments they have to themselves. As far as I am concerned, this series has blown me away with a marvelous plot line and characters. Now waiting for March and the last book in this series Edge of Forever.

What I enjoyed most about this book, is that it's got a solid plot with some HOT sex added in; it's not a sex free-for-all book that tries to force a storyline in between the naked bits.
The story picks up a short time after the end of book 1, and shows Isabella living her life without Logan. She's doing tons of traveling for work, burying herself in books so she doesn't have to dwell on what could've been. Logan is going about his life as well, but he's not that great at hiding his feelings. The band's newest album is dark and angry and angsty, and even the album's cover shows the broody Logan
The first few chapters reminded me of the start of a police thriller genre story (of which I am a huge fan) with that familiar face that you can't place, yet you see everywhere you go -- the "secret security" that SOMEONE hired for you -- loved it. That same feeling carried (for me) throughout the book, with the crazy stalker/fan bitch and the hard task Logan has of protecting himself and what's "his" from the unknown and unstable.
Seeing Isabella [trying to] move forward with her life wasn't nearly as satisfying as her confrontation and eventual reunion with Logan but I liked that she didn't let him off the hook and demanded answers, even ones he was uncomfortable giving. I was very glad to see that Taryn doesn't fall into the I'll-make-you-grovel-for-seven-chapters-before-jumping-your-bones thing that many authors tend to gravitate toward when their heroes mess up.
Watching Logan and Isabella's relationship grow past the hot sex phase and into something deeper was lovely. Isabella's integration into Logan's life, including having his band-mates "adopt" her, was refreshing and felt natural. The pages just flew by as their combined story absolutely flourished.
Like at the end of the first book, this one ends in a cliffhanger. I actually gasped out loud when I read the final pages. Though I didn't see the exact events coming, I knew SOMETHING had to happen, but wasn't expecting what Taryn did.
I'm definitely looking forward to the final installment of the Logan and Isabella story coming out in March. I need to see the crazy stalker/fan bitch put in her place.
Even if you haven't read book one of this trilogy (Anything But Mine) you won't be lost -- there is enough information and backstory given in Bulletproof Weeks to catch you up without feeling like this book is a rehash, and reading this one first will make you want to pick up book one and see how the characters met.
