Not bad.

I liked the premise. A well known handsome rich player. Womanizer. Manwhore. You name it. Who has a "type" of woman he likes to bed. Typically no substance and no brain. Well not much. And a petite voluptuous personal assistant shows himm that he can be friends with a woman. And proceeds to show him the errors of his ways. They make an agreement. He falls for her. She then falls for him. Then he seduces her. Then beds her. He breaks his part of the agreement. By continuing to be a manwhore. And she finishes the "relationship". He can be surprisingly sweet at times. Which was a surprise. But this was too predictable to me. This was not a wow eyepoping great book. The story had potential. But it was meh.

Storyline Ok, but so poorly written it was too distracting to finish

This book was very poorly written. The conversations and phrasings used by the characters (especially Lily) were often unbelievable for someone of her supposed intelligence. She seemed naive, unpolished and unaccustomed to things of quality. While she may not have been able to afford all of those things, her work experience of two years should have provided a bit of polish. It appeared the writer may have used a thesaurus to find "big" words in an attempt to elevate the story but they were often ill used and out of place or context of the sentence or conversation. The back and forth of the points of view were ok - maybe a little overdone. The storyline was basically good and characters enjoyable, but an editor to help with basic sentence structure is very much needed.

It's ok

Oliver Clarke has pushed his luck too far, yes he is the only child of Harry Clark the CEO of the billion-dollar Clark Industries but this time his father's had enough. While Oliver is incredibly handsome, only twenty-eight and set to take over the reins he's not his father, not by a long shot in fact he's coasting, too many women and far too little sleep and a terrible work ethic have made Harry take the drastic step of threatening to cut Oliver off, his job, inheritance and future in the company. He's serious Oliver has to see a relationship counselor every week and give up his late nights and wild dates.
Lily is Oliver's personal assistant and she's amazing but then of course she was hired by Harry, Oliver knows that his father thinks the world of Lily and so suggests to her that they could fake date, no feelings to be involved of course.
This is an ok read, there's no real depth to the characters and I struggled a lot with Oliver and not just with his throw away women but with his character I didn't actually like him very much and while an attempt was made to explain away his attitude it just wasn't enough for me.
One of my problems is I like an alpha male and Oliver certainly wasn't that and I honestly couldn't find it in me to like a man that was 'Sharply dressed in a sleek white pant suit' and as if the pant suit wasn't enough in another scene he's wearing 'skintight blue jeans and a partially buttoned shirt. Oh, and freshly polished cowboy boots' now maybe it's me I know my son wears super skinny pants but he's eighteen not twenty-eight, I just couldn't form an image of Oliver which actually worked for me.
Like I said this is an ok read but predictable.
