Good and Misleading

First let me say I enjoyed the story. I was great to catch up with the Blake family. This was a nice, light read. No angst, no drama, no craziness. Just two people with history coming together.
Note that I referred to this as a story, not a book or even a novella. It was a very short story. I was at 79% on my Kindle and the story was done. The remainder of the space was a preview of the Hollywood series. This I consider misleading and I say shame on the author and or publisher for this. I still probably word have bought the story had I been aware of the actual short length, but I am very disappointed to have received a short story when I thought I was buying a slightly meatier novella.

Felt like the author didn't feel like putting too much effort ...

I would give this book a 2.5. First of all the story is short. I came up to 80% and found I was at the end of the story. The rest of the remaining 20% is a chapter for a different book. Also the story did not have much angst. I don't know it was missing something. Felt like the author didn't feel like putting too much effort into this story.

I really enjoy the Blake Boys series by Rhonda Laurel and have been looking forward to Michelle and Tyler's story for quite some time. Having said that, I was a little disappointed with the story. It just seemed like something was missing from the story this time around. I would've loved to have gotten a few more chapters so that their relationship was fleshed out a bit more or to have had a bit more conflict between the couple, though I know not every story has to be filled with drama/conflict. The book was also extremely short, which was somewhat misleading since the last 20 or so pages was a preview of another book, and thus a bit expensive for the price. However, overall, I did really like the story and still look forward to reading the rest of the books in the series.
