When Faith Carson wakes up on a hospital ceiling looking down on her body in a coma, it’s a bad start to the week. A very bad start. She has no idea who she is or how she got there or why, and the biggest mystery of all is why she married the schmuck who wants her ventilator switched off.
As if that’s not enough Faith has a dead gran haunting her, a young daughter missing her, and one devilishly delicious man making her wish she could have a second chance at life. And maybe she can, if she finds a way back into her body and wakes up by Friday. But if she doesn’t, this will be her last bad week—ever.
Nate Sutherland decided long ago he’d settle for friendship if he couldn’t have Faith’s heart. But now, as she nears death, he’s going to have to listen to his feelings in a whole new way—and act. Because if he doesn’t, this week will be the worst damn week of his life. He’ll lose everything he’s ever loved.

About the Author
Maggie Le Page lives in Christchurch, New Zealand (aka QuakeZone) with her partner, two children, and a snooty cat who thinks they're all her slaves. Her days are spent running around after kids or doing one of her 'real' jobs, so her writing generally happens in the dead of night. (Morning? Ha! She's a third-generation night owl. Enough said.)
Maggie loves chocolate, hates being cold, and is ever fascinated by the possibility of time travel. Obviously, her ideal experience would be to wake up on a tropical island eighty years into the future, with an endless supply of chocolate on hand.

Some magic from Maggie!
By Caro
One night, feeling super tired and out of sorts after a hard day, I picked up Maggie Le Page's latest, looking for a relaxing read so I could unwind. Well, I wasn't exactly relaxed; I was I hooked! Forget the fatigue-I couldn't put this book down! It was so ingenious to have the main character, Faith, in a coma, looking down on herself lying utterly inert and vulnerable, as she fought for both survival and to rationalize her situation. From a wacky Gran (loved her!) to a nasty so-called BFF, a possibly muderous husband and a sweet daughter with special powers, a collage of colourful characters swept in and out of Faith's hospital room adding drama, spice and some major tension to Faith's predicament. Then there was the luscious Nate and all that he brought to the scene...'The Trouble With Dying' is a seriously good read, a beautifully crafted story, and I'm dying for some more from Maggie!

Romantic mystery that will keep you wanting more
By Katie M
I was so excited to see that Maggie Le Page had a new novel out and The Trouble With Dying certainly didn't disappoint! I'm not usually a reader of mysteries, so I was very pleasantly surprised I enjoyed this book as much as I did. I would put that down to the clever, fast-paced narrative and psychological suspense the author creates throughout the story. You want to know what's going to happen next - in fact I wanted to know so much that I read it in just a couple of days. But it's more than just a mystery, it's a love story too, which is sweet, heart-warming and downright hot at times. Faith, the central character, is easy to like, and Nate, the love interest, is just as a hero should be - strong, manly, commanding and swoon-worthy. Although very different from her first novel, the author retains her sharp, elegant writing style, with more than a few great one liners thrown in. It's a real pleasure to read.

Thank God! A second book from Ms. Le Page. Brilliantly crafted, a must read!
By Celia Kennedy
Much like the author, this book is fun, quirky, warm, and compelling!
We meet Faith Carson as she hovers over her own comatose body. With no memories of the event that has landed her in the hospital, of those who surround her bed, or even the ability to move, Faith is utterly helpless. Or would be, if it weren't for her dead Gran who is floating beside her, offering support.
Listening in on the conversations of those in her hospital room, Faith gradually comes to understand who Nate, Tessa, Kathy, Geoff and Cynthia are. Her mother, her daughter, her husband, her best friend, and her childhood friend. In sorting out her near death experience, Faith finds her emotional cup overflows with repulsion, confusion, lust, and love.
With only seven days to sort out how to move her "out of body" body, solve the mystery of who wants her dead, AND decide what she wants out of life, if she can get her two halves reunited, Faith has a busy schedule. Fortunately for her, there's a little magic left in the universe. With the help of a clairvoyant or two, a helpful police officer, and the love of friends and family, she races the clock up to the very last second!
The cast of characters are quite irresistible and will leave you laughing, panting, and hopelessly in love. This long awaited second book by Maggie Le Page is a definite must read! Each page is a carefully crafted delight.
(P.S. I'm not sure how, maybe with the help of a clairvoyant, Ms. Le Page managed to reincarnate my mother as Faith's Gran!)
