Rebel Heat (Shadow Assassins Book 6)

I was so intrigued by Nazeral I read this book after book two and went back and read books three through five after that. Naz (a Shadow Assassin) and Morgan, head of the human task force to rid earth of the Shadow Assassins are literally thrown together when he barely manages to escape the raid that captures his comrades. Another byproduct of the raid is the band around his neck that suppresses his power and leaves him as vulnerable as if he were a mere human. Alpha hunter Naz turns out to be a pretty resourceful guy but he still needs to lay low until he can muster the energy (by anger or lust) to force the band off. If you read the previous books then you know that Naz wanted Angie (whose story is book 3) for himself from the outset. His desire was based on what he knew about her and her mixed alien heritage and was not really "desire" at all. Naz realizes this because his desire for and attraction to Morgan is instinct. Morgan seems to feel the same way however both know there are more important issues at stake and neither of them should give into these feelings.
I think what intrigued me about Nazeral is that he never factored passion and affection as part of the mating process. It is like he never really believed he would want, need or have the link with another woman that is naturally compelling him to have with Morgan. The chemistry between Morgan and Nazeral is off the charts delicious from the beginning but it is watching two incredibly disciplined and driven characters like Morgan and Nazeral develop an intimate bond in addition to the physical one that kept me flipping the pages.

Can I Just Say Wow

Talk about an unlikely pair, two enemies falling in love and lust despite the circumstances, unlike Romeo and Juliet these two survive and thrive.
This ending to the Shadow Assassin Series makes me eager to see what will happen with the spin off. In between the steamy pages of the story, we are faced with a battle of wits and a fight for a better life. Morgan has been fighting the Shadow Assassins, mainly Sevrin, trying to protect her people, not knowing that the man she thought most dangerous was the man that she would love. Nazerel has been playing the double agent trying to save his men, and protect his race. Together they have the chance to make a difference and change the way the Shadow Assassins and the Battle Born have been treated, while protecting humans and exposing the government's corruption.
A wonderful read, and I am very very excited to see what happens next.

Great author

I am so glad to see Morgan get a hea. Morgan and Nazarel definetly kept the pages scorching hot with their chemistry. It was an interesting read and I truly enjoyed this story. If you haven't read this series give it a go I enjoyed all the stories in this series and noticed a spin off coming from this one next. Cant wait to see how that one continues with the series I have so enjoyed.
