Good Series

This is Book #3 in a three-book series. All three stories center around the Christmas Holiday Ball being thrown by Alpha wolf Hayden Barringer. Having read the first two books in this series, I was anxious to read the final edition, and I was glad to see Alpha wolf Kade Townsend have his own story.
After assisting both Hayden and his brother Gunner find and claim their own mates at the ball, Kade accidentally comes in contact with Daphne, the human woman he instantly recognizes as his own mate. To say that she is reluctant to get involved with this mouth-watering specimen of a man is an understatement. After all....why would a man like Kade Townsend want to spend any time with a full-figured, curvy woman like her? She knows he's a wolf, and wolves don't mate with human women....and she is not about to become a one-night stand, even if Kade IS the best looking man Daphne has ever seen.
There is a lot going on at this year's Holiday Ball and 3 mates are claimed...all in one evening. I really liked these short stories, but I wish they could have been longer. I would have enjoyed getting to know the characters a little better. My only negative comment would be the typos. They were annoying to the point of making the story confusing at times.
There is much sex involved in these books, but I did not feel that the mating process in Book #3 was as prolonged or as rough and intense as in the first two books. I recommend this book (and this series) to those who enjoy shifter stories. And while each book could be considered a stand-alone, I would strongly suggest reading the first two books in the series before reading this one. They are all short reads, and all the male characters appear in all three books. So if you like your men "Alpha to the core"...... you will like this series.

Weak heroine

First, let me say that I am going to try another story by this writer because I liked the strong Alpha instantly recognizing his mate and going after her.
Second, if my first blowjob with a guy I met one hour ago is that violent, forceful, inconsiderate, and he digs his fingernails into my scalp (and we all know head wounds bleed like a mother), I would not be sticking around to see if he is going to be Prince Charming and take all my troubles away. I mean being obedient and submissive is all well and good but this loser hero isn't letting you come up for air; this could seriously be a problem, you think?
I understood the hero's insta-love but not what the heroine was feeling other than horny and hoping he would be a sugar daddy? She just finished the last class to be an accountant, her bright future was on the horizon. Oh well.

A 4 for the series

We don't know what happened before the first book. Book 1 Hayden's story at Holiday Ball or Mate Ball. It was ok. I liked Hayden. Autumn was annoying a bit. The sex was hot. A little creepy that his brother's watched. I liked that Autumn's mother was re-united with her true love, Adam. A 4, only because of Adam and Maggie. Without them it would have been a 3.
Second book was Gunnar's story. He was left wounded bother physically and emotionally after an attack of sorts. His mate turned out to be a peace pixie. My favorite story if the three. I love a dark hero. A 5.
Last was the cousin Kade who found his mate as a human. Sex was hot as with the other two. Didn't warm up to hear and her last line made me realize I didn't like her at all. I hate snarky characters!!! A 3.
