LOVED IT!!!! Now Thats How you start a Series!!!!!!

Immediately I'm brought into a world of Turns, vampires and hunters and I am totally smitten already with this serial.
I love how the story comes alive in your head, I was pulled into this story willingly at the first moment when we meet Narah, and increasingly excited to read more after meeting Aeslin (I know right she always has the best character names – I find this important)
I love the supernatural world hiding among the Human world with Tamara's own little spin on it.
I loved the two hearts that the vampires have and all those tattoos, makes the imagination work all that little bit sweeter to conjure up images of the characters. The world building is brilliant and oh so interesting.
I Loved Narah right away she has some sass in her I love it.
Aeslin is Oh My Damn!!! Want one!!!!

Intriguing..............

Let me preface this review by stating that I normally don’t read paranormal. That being said, I found Vampire Claim to be very intriguing. Intriguing in the sense that I was taken into a world unfamiliar to me, yet felt as if I never left. VC has, in true Marata fashion, every element you can ask for in a story. Intrigue, suspense, action, drama, and a female character with sass. Marata has the ability, whether she’s writing paranormal or dark erotica, to make me feel. Feel, as if I am the character she’s writing, feel as if I am the character I’m reading. Vampire Claim is the perfect introduction to what I know will be an amazing series and I’m intrigued and excited to see what will happen next and there is no better author (in my opinion) to take me out of my reading comfort zone than Marata.

I loved it so much that I bought the series

I loved it so much that I bought the series! This first one is just a taste of what is to come, and what a taste! Let me start by saying that the author hasn't given us a normal world to work with here. There are supernatural forces at play and we're transported into a frightening underworld that could lead so many different directions. We are introduced to the three main characters of the series. Narah Adrienne is a bad-ass enforcer who can take down anyone, but her boss is a stickler for rules. The enforcers protect the humans from the supernatural world, and she's the best at her job. However, she's in trouble, again, and facing a frightening consequence. Aeslin is a Turner, looking for females with just enough of the vampire blood that they can mate and produce young. These females are unique and rare but a necessity to keep their kind from dying out. Matthews is a Hunter, one who does the dirty work needed to cleans the world of supernaturals. He sterilizes the females who can breed with the vampire. When these three soldiers collide, it not only disrupts each individual sect, it could be a complete game changer. We learn that these three barely touch the ugly underbelly of this world.
This author is completely unconventional in the sense that, if you read any of her supernatural or dystopian works, you understand that so many of them intertwine with another of her series'. That's what makes her works so exciting. You don't know if, while you're reading one series, a character or two from another might just show up and throw the entire story off kilter. They are all fast paced with little down-time and not just stimulating but interesting and extremely detailed. With this particular story, the character development is evocative and intense. They three lead characters are sexy and intimidating, but also strong and vulnerable. Her introduction to the Claim series is so rich that you want to get to know these "people," to understand what makes them tick and how their interaction with each other is going to alter their world, making it something more extraordinary. By the time this short story ends, we know who each of the main characters is and what their position is in the story. It is such a tempting tidbit that you want to find out what happens next. That is exactly what a series should do and this particular author does that in spades.
It's a short story that ends in a cliff hanger. But it is such a bold tale that it leaves you wanting to know what will take each of these characters off the path that is set before them, a path that they were each trained to follow. It isn't going to be pretty, and you know it will be dark. It left me excited to read the next book in the series.
