Okay, there's fantasy, then there's the creepy stuff...

Have no idea why I read the three parts of this book, except that they were free on kindle unlimited. I'm really into fantasy in erotic romances, but geez this trend of blatant sexual harassment in romance writing is just killing me. I mean, Leona Lee isn't there at least one point in the narrative where you could have addressed that? California has some of the strictest sexual harassment laws in the county. I live in California, so I know anyone in HR has to go through Title IX training. Executives are really given the drill because a lawsuit could destroy their company. So WTF?
A beautiful young intern is hired at a San Jose company and on her third day on the job the "billionaire" owner of the big conglomerate jumps her bones and makes out with her in his office. (That's in Book 1.) The billionaire seems to have no problem going after this 21 year old intern. On the other hand, he ignores her when they seem to be getting too close. Meanwhile, she is enamored and there's sex and more sex (which are about the most well written scenes in the series.)
Spoilers... he gets her back, he is injured in a car wreck when his enemies go after him. They're really bad Russian guys who he has pissed off (have I mentioned he's Russian?) So that's Book 2.
In Book 3, he recovers and she forgives him for being a total a-hole even though he doesn't really apologize when he comes out of his coma. Oh and she has taken a leading role running the conglomerate while he is in the hospital, even though she has little experience and was only an intern. (Did I really spend an afternoon reading this?)
Then she gets kidnapped. Okay, maybe you have to be there. (Did I mention the sex scenes were pretty good?)
So back at the conglomerate... there seems to be absolutely no one concerned about this inappropriate relationship in the company and even more bizarre... her own friends seem to think this is a good thing. Unbelievable.
By the way, Leona, even in erotic romance, couples ask each other about birth control and if they're "clean." I think this is a reasonable recognition of reality... even in the fantasy world of erotic romance.
To readers, I would say... don't bother. To Leona Lee, I would say... can we talk?

The Russian Billionaire series is an okay read if you are looking for something quick to read. With that being said, I like how the story unfolded. If it was a longer read, I do believe that more details and or relationships would have been explored more in depth. I like that Chekov and Sarah had a happy ending.

Steamy, sexy scenes. Loved the chemistry. All the characters were very likable. Even the alpha guy was likable ( which I usually hate). Read all 4 in series and enjoyed them all. Series started with 1) Virgin Secretary 2) Reclaimed Love 3) Fiancé 4) Bride. Wrote the same review for all four. -M
