DELICIOUSLY DANGEROUS AND DELIGHTFULLY COMPELLING !!!

WOWZA! I absolutely love this new series by K A Taylor! Bloodcoat Rogue is the first episode in the Wolves of the Five Tribes Serial and it is amazing. Exciting! Smart! Imaginative! Powerful! Captivating! Thrilling! Addictive! Romantic! Arousing! Sensual! Sexy! Oh, and did I mention hot? Oh yeah! The story is well written, and compelling. The dialog is smart and well articulated. The characters are powerful and intriguing. Taylor has combined all these elements to transport her readers to a land of fantasy and a world of magic. Beautiful Isla Stone is having a bad day - actually three very bad days. She's stranded and snowed in at a remote ranger's cabin deep in Rogue River-Siskiyou National Park. Her car won't start, her cell phone is dead and she has almost no food. Yep, no doubt about it, she is going to freeze to death - alone. Why oh why had she not paid attention when her Dad tried to teach her how to repair her car? Because she's stupid, that's why - stupid to think that her good looks, her long blonde hair and her emerald green eyes could save her by attracting a hot guy with a tool kit to repair it for her. Well, where were all the hot guys now- certainly not here! Whoops! Isla spoke too soon because not long after that thought a really sexy, really hot guy saves her from a madman and rescues her from a frozen death . Wow, wonder if he has a toolkit? But handsome Raphael Bloodcoat is not really a guy-he's a wolf! Oh my! And she feels unexplainably, undeniably attracted to him! And it seems he is also very attracted to the beautiful Isla. Hells bells! What's a girl to do? Fantastic read and great entertainment! I can hardly wait for the next installment of this marvelous new series!

This is a good idea for a story and it is well written. It was short, I read it in about 20 minutes. It needs more character development and a longer plot. It was promoted as 'erotic', but lacked heat. The story has room to grow.

This book started out great, though it was exceptionally short and felt horribly rushed. The action scenes were interesting, but there was absolutely no history on the hero or where he came from and I was hoping that there would be so much more to the story.
Furthermore, I feel that the main characters should have been given so much more time to get to know each other before falling into the sack together. I would have enjoyed more interaction between them and I think that the rogue wolf was an interesting addition to the story that was simply abandoned after he was scared off by the hero. Again, this story had potential, but it just fizzled out.
Ultimately, I think K.A. Taylor has incredible potential and when she takes her time, her writing flows like a calm river and is inviting. However, I also feel that she is better suited to write suspense/horror rather than erotic fiction. And that's not a bad thing.
