Highly Recommended. A great read.

Sometimes it is hard to give a review without give away the story. So I will make this short and sweet. Sometimes we try to keep our problems so close to our chest, keep our private lives private, that we end up hurting ourselves rather than helping the situation. That is where Alan finds himself in this story. And it is interesting to see the paces Debby Mayne puts her characters through to get to the finish line. This was done sucessfully, and I enjoyed the book. Recommend it.

Christian romance at it's best.

I usually don't like romance novels because of too much emphasis on sensuality. I've even put down some Christian romance novels for the same reason, but the moment I began reading Trouble in Paradise I was hooked. You weaved an old fashioned romance into a compelling story, and I had no trouble believing it was from a Christian writer. Plus, I've worked in one kind of a business office or another over the years and I can tell you, you have right on the money. I was entertained and touched from start to finish. Thanks for the ride. Good Enough to Read Again

Charlene Pickford loves her job in New York, but her new boss is hard to figure out. He spins from concerned and professional to withdrawn, cold, and retreating. Trips home to Atlanta only complicate things and confuse her more. Why is she so drawn to Alan when he is not the kind of man she’d ever want to be involved with. What is God trying to tell her?
Alan Robards is carrying too much baggage. Not only does he have the demons from his time in the army in Afghanistan chasing him, but his family situation leaves much to be desired. He’d rather keep his past a secret and get on with his life, but that’s hard to do, especially with his mentor pushing him to be more open. His mentor had always been the bright spot in his gloomy life, but now Charlene also vies for that position. Yet he doesn’t know what to do about it.
I loved this one. It was a fun, interesting read. There were only a very few mistakes, like when “regular” was used for the adverb, “regularly.” I questioned why Mr. Robard’s prison record didn’t have his birth date or age on it. The romance also fell a bit flat but not so much that I didn’t enjoy the book. This is one I would read again.
